They have finally hired a competent athletic director Joe Mauceri. I was not able to complete my September October sessions of pickleball due to covid. He made sure I was able to make up some of my sessions. He responded to every one of my emails and answered all my calls. Previous directors never did that. He even came to classes to check on how we were doing. Hes a keeper.

The place is closed early on Christmas eve and Christmas although Jewish people dont celebrate Christmas. I was just trying go get a workout in and the employees came up to me rudely and said i cant workout here simply cause i didnt have running shoes on when all i was doing is working out my triceps

Their security guards are absolute jokes literally bottom of the barrel they have ZERO clue whats going on. Apparently theres no standards to get a nys security license. To be fair to jcc they are a third party company. JCC PLEASE PLEASE GET A DIFFERENT COMPANY TO HANDLE THE SECURITY.

Went here for a kids birthday pool party. The pool is Olympic size and well maintained. The staff was very organized and helpful. The kids really enjoyed the party

Training coach Kristy is phenomenal I joined the SYJCC a few months ago and started training with Kristy and Ive learned a lot. She takes her time doesnt overwhelm me and goes at a sustainable pace. I feel my body slowly coming around and she is in tune to my limitations yet pushes when she has to. Thank you Kristy

Great 25m lap pool. One of the walls is all glass which allows in natural light. The changing room and showers are spacious clean and in excellent condition like new. Overall swimming here is a very pleasant experience. They also have gym and other activities. I cannot comment on these yet.

An active place that has a lively presence and from what i remember. There have been some plays where there would be a big turnout. I worked here so i know how it used to be up until the pandemic. Ever since the Coronavirus pandemic all of the extra curricular activities came to a sheering halt.

im a member for over 20 years and have consistently been pleased and impressed with their hamisha way and the facilities especially the olympic sized pool.swimming laps while listening to my underwater mp3 player jumping into the whirlpool steam room very few facilities on long island maintain one........very expensive to do so the sauna state of the art locker room and oh yes the 10th of a mile walking track above the huge basketball courts. the gym is also very well appointed and large with the state of the art equipment and lots of assistance from professional trainers and spotters.i think the people who wrote those negative reviews should manage their expectations and appreciate value and qualityand............aarp supplemental health care plan pays for my membership and my wifes as long as we go once a week and you certainly cant beat free membershipbut it was a bargain at 40 a month prior to my turning 65

Ive quit 2 gyms in the last 3 years. I finally found a place that doesnt cater to the 18 yr old set. I should have joined 3 yrs ago. Great place to work out or just hang out. They drove me out of L A Fitness and Retro with the annoying loud bad so called music and staff that doesnt give a damn about anything except there I pods.
