My daughter have been with Helping Hands for almost 2 years coming in August. When I learned about her diagnosis it is one of the things where you couldnt grasp as a parent. You want your child to gather all of the skills needed in life so I am happy my insurance team sent me a coordinator that did most of the talking. Although in the beginning was a lot of changes my daughter is progressing wonderfully. I love the staff and the administration team. It doesnt hurt to make suggestions because they have an open door policy. My daughter get the Integrated Services Speech and OT so she doesnt have to go another place. Everything in one building. I love them all. It became a place where our superheroes feel welcome in a clinic. Keep up the good work

We would absolutely recommend this place. Our 3 year old son is on the spectrum and had speech difficulties. They started coming everyday for ABA services once in the morning once in the afternoon but were there several hours each day. Our son improved significantly over 6 months. A lot fewer meltdowns much more communication of his needs and making conversation with us and better articulation. We have monthly video calls to discuss his progress and they created goals for him to meet with charts to monitor the progress over time but we had input on these goals. Every person we interacted with was so nice and our son really liked his therapists. There was a waiting list to get into the program but it was worth it and only took a few months. Overall no complaints at all.

I recommend this place and the team

My son was diagnosed at age 2 with ASD. Following feeding speech occupational and special Instruction therapies ABA was next to be implemented in ensuring he had everything he needed to begin this journey.Helping Hands Family in Drexel Hill worked with me to determine how often my son received service scheduling and even handling insurance. His entire ABA team - from the service Coordinator to his day to day therapists- is AMAZING Truly an advantageous asset to my sons overall success with being a child on the spectrum. My son who is completely against meeting and allowing new people in his space has a huge smile on his face when Im dropping him off and the smile is still there the moment I pick him up.Im appreciative of the open and constant communication his team provides me and reassures me of my decision to have HHF be a part of his learning experience.

I started looking for a new ABA provider some months ago because I wanted a center close to home. I filled out an online inquiry and received a reply email stating that because my son attends a full day school program this program wouldnt work for him. Im not sure where the confusion was from but I never stated that anywhere. After clearing that up I found that this centers services end at 3pm. I get off work at 330 so I told Emily by email this wouldnt work for us. I arranged with my job to arrive and leave early to accommodate the schedule at this center so I filled out a new inquiry form. Emily emailed me stating that the center still closes at 3 so per our previous conversation this center wouldnt be a good fit. After informing Emily that things had changed and i had filled in a new inquiry form because 3pm end time would work for me I have never heard back from them. This is seeming like a trend among ABA providers. She was very short in the emails made a lot of assumptions instead of asking for clarity. She definitely made me feel like I was interrupting something more important than her communicating with a potential patient. I currently use Neurabilities for ABA but I was in search of something closer to home. Neurabilities staff is very professional and they have a center that has extended hours to 5 pm which is also something so love doesnt have. I cant review the care but customer service is really bad.

Our family has nothing but positive things to say about our HH family Drexel Hill Communication has been excellent since day one. I feel incredibly comfortable and trusting of my sons BCBA and RBTs and can come to them about anything we need they make a great team and have been so supportive. My son is 4 and nonverbal. He has been attending since July and is happy and thriving

I really really wanted to get my son in here after hearing how amazing this organization is. However with his schedule and routine he simply cannot do the Monday thru Friday full time. The gentleman who was helping me told me he would talk to other staff to see if he would be able to go there if it wasnt the Monday thru Friday schedule and get back to me. That was months ago. No one ever got back to me. There was zero flexibility or options offered to at least TRY to accommodate us. We werent asking for anything outside of their hours and they never even met with my son to see if anything could be worked out to help. How can they know what will and wont benefit him if they never even interacted with him How do they know he wont benefit substantially from 3 out of the 5 days they said that most of their kids do ASD isnt a uniform thing you cant generalize your approach and automatically disqualify a child because they can only do 35 days. I feel completely shut down by them like they just dont care at all and as a parent of a young child with ASD its incredibly disheartening. They couldnt be bothered to try or at the very least call me back I think other parents should be aware of this because its not right the way they handled the situation. With something like ASD there NEEDS to be flexibility. If they cared we would have gotten that. Period.

I have 2 sons that attend HHF in Drexell Hill. My youngest is nonverbal and has been going for about 9 months. He enjoys the clinic and staff. All the clerical staff especially Giovanna Rbt Ali and AB Desiree are great. They answer all questions and show concern. The office is diverse. I like that they decorate and show the children information about Womens Day to understanding autism for friends and family.I see progress in my non verbal sons attention span gesturing and learning different ways to express himself. My oldest son just started attending and enjoys himself. Its important to not be in denial or ashamed about your childs autism and get them help early. I recommend HHF to all families. Autism can not be fixed but many children improve in certain areas of their life. Learning life skills are needed.MW
