As a father with a son on the autism spectrum Ive been searching for 2 years for a good way to help my son form meaningful connections with friends. Discovering Ascent Autism was the turning point we desperately needed. This exceptional organization has been v important in new life into my sons social journey. Their dedicated online peer group therapy sessions with v well trained therapists made all the difference. What deeply resonated with me was their thorough personalized matching system. It wasnt just about placing my son in a group BUT it was about understanding his strengths challenges and interests. My son made his very first REAL friend at Ascent Autism. They chat all the time and it is fulfilling to see for me. He has really developed his social skills and confidence.. The joy in his eyes is something Ill forever be grateful for. To all the parents seeking hope and connection for their children I can enthusiastically recommend Ascent Autism

Thank you Ascent Autism Our 12 year old loves her peer group. My husband and I have seen her EQ skills improve dramatically over the last 7 months she has been participating in her peer group. I especially like the reporting and engagement the company has with parents and its great knowing this service is backed by people from UCSF which we know is the best autism center in the country. We also participated in a session hosted by company with the heads of the UCSF Autism Center and found the companys approach insightful unique and far better than the way we are used to see autism being treated at other clinics. Our kid was truly cared for and the improvements are significant.

We got in early with ascent. Its been an excellent service with highly trained staff from great medical and research institutions. Quality of service is truly top notch. Service is not cheap but for the outcomes we are seeing with our daughter it is worth every penny. Totally different approach and one that seems to be working very well for our kiddo.

I was semi- impressed when my signed joined the program however he was placed in a group of boys who were lower on the social scale then he. He was moved upon request however we were initially offered two options to try then told no. He enjoyed the second group however the group was too large there was inconsistency in group leaders and even fascinators dropped the ball and missed class. My largest concern is the way this organization chooses to charge its clients. The policy kept changing. Charges would be made then a favor to correct the issue when contacted was made to refund the money. Recently the company chose to charge me for balance owed which was inaccurate. It has been paid previously. The owner insisted it was owed for dates my child did not attend. It took several emails and phone calls to receive any response for discussion. I was refunded my money but not before I was labeled irrational. First I provided factual information in calm concise manner through email. Secondly labeling clients past or present in such a derogatory manner is unprofessional. If this is how they openly choose to treat parents and caregivers of a marginalized population of disabled children can you imagine what they say in privateThe second star was earned for the brief friendships my son made outside of that the fraudulent billing practices are what push me to say Stay away

Our 17-year-old son has participated in peer groups for almost a year and we have seen great improvement in his conversation skills. He looks forward to peer group every week

My son started with Ascent Autism at the beginning of he pandemic. At first he was quiet during the groups but now enjoys logging into his sessions to talk and interact with his peers. I love that we get feedback from the moderator with updates on how he is doing in his sessions and what they feel he needs to continue to work on. I really think it has helped him become more successful at school and comfortable interacting with peers.

We signed up for social skills with Ascent Autism last year and my son always looks forward to sessions every week I appreciate the weekly updates from he facilitator and how collaborative they are to working on his goals when there is a concern. We needed a social skills that was virtual during the time of covid since my son is high risk. However as a parent that drives to and from services frequently its nice to not have to do that one day during the week Its a much needed break for my kiddo as well. I highly recommend Ascent

This has been a positive virtual social skills experience for my 15 year-old son. Ive been really impressed with the facilitators skills at subtly teaching social skills The only downside is that its pricey and not covered by insurance but if you budget allows we would definitely recommend.

We would give 10 stars if we could Our college kid has been enjoying Ascent Autisms online peer group with Nicole for one full year now and we have noticed significant growth in social skills and self-confidence. Finding a high quality social group for young adults on the Spectrum was a huge challenge for us let alone one that focused on delivering a curriculum as rich as Ascent Autism does. Thus far our adult child has learned skills like apologizing eye contact greetings extended conversations. They also have fun and play games share interests and its great to hear laughter and conversations emanating from the room when group is in session.I highly recommend Accent Autism their team leadership approach and program have exceeded our expectations thus far.As with any program there are some onboarding steps where there can be bumps in the road we had a fairly smooth process and any issues the team responded quickly.
