Art It Out Therapy - Marietta

Art It Out has been such an amazing experience for my daughter. My daughter is 10 years old and has anxiety as well as some trauma and our counselor has been so wonderful. She has given my daughter so many useful tools to deal with her anxiety and she has also taught me how to best approach parenting my daughter and to better understand what she is going through. My daughter amd I are communicating better than we ever have before. I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful program.

Incredible therapeutic care on all levels. Teresa and her amazing team have curated a space for youth to be able to do in depth art therapy and authentic healing. Art It Out is like no other space and has an amazing team of professional authentic talented and deeply caring therapists ready to help carve sacred space and work with youth. As a mental health clinician and professional I am honored to call Teresa and Art It Out my colleagues and it is heart warming to know that another group of professionals approaches this sacred healing work with respect and reverence for the youth clients and families they serve. We saw Elise Roche at the marietta art it out center in 2021 for my 15 year old daughter who was feeling depressed.after a few sessions she started talking to my daughter about getting on anti depressants without talking to me 1st. Is that even legal Im sure antidepressants for some can be life changing and there is a place for them. however I was very upset how medications were discussed with my daugther without her and I discussing them 1st.I expressed my concern that she needed to talk to me 1st before recommending antidepressants. after my talk and a few more sessions she basically told me that she couldnt help my daughter and needed to end the sessions. My daughter had formed an attachment to her and felt very abandoned by her.Lets just say that this was the worst experience with this therapist. Im so fed up with our system that pushes our kids towards pharmaceutical medications.Happy to say that after her we saw a more holistic therapist and my daughter is thriving now. Needless to say that I felt like I had to post this review to warn other parents that do your due diligence on picking your childs therapist interview them extensively and make sure you have shared values.

We will be eternally grateful for the care and support we received from our counselor at Art it Out Brooke went above and beyond then and still does now even after we have completed our sessions always available for a quick chat redirect or to simply share in our successes. Our daughter struggled with school aversion anxiety separation anxiety and anxiety in general around getting sick. As a child psychologist who collaborates with many therapists in the course of my daily work I cannot recommend Teresa and the staff at Art It Out more highly. They do a wonderful job with individual therapy as well as groups and are insightful regarding the best placement of a child based on their current concerns. I often suggest that my clients who need to strengthen social skills participate in their social skills offerings or one of their summer camps. Our parents always give rave reviews

The Art it Out Summer Camp is a wonderful opportunity for children to advance their social skills in a supportive and fun environment. The art projects are great and the children leave camp with tangible reminders of the important things they have learned. Its a high quality program
