Ive worked with my son at a few different companies and I have to say some of the issues people complain about are sadly just the nature of the beast its like complaining about walking outside in the sun when you go to the zoo somethings are just a given.. no company is perfectThat being said it has been my experience that Aces tries with some companies they dont try at all ACES listen..ABA is still evolving science is always moving forward. Autism is complex. Its a spectrum because no two children are the same. therefore think about it like this how could you train any individual to work with that many different children and that many different deficits or differences and expect instant perfection Theyre not making a hamburger theyre not building a fence theyre re-shaping a mind and behaviors that didnt happen overnight. The most important thing to remember is early intervention the earlier the better the behaviors havent had a time to settle in and the brain is still malleableIve been doing this with my son for 10 years hes now 11 severely impacted he is nonverbal BUT he has sign language and he can tie his shoes and hes potty trained and he has so many skills that he didnt have before I have had about 50 different therapist come in and out of our home over the past 10 years. You have to think about your childs ABA like a weight loss program or college life if you dont do the work you wont see results its that simple. No professional can fix your childs autism there is no cureI agree sometimes youll get a person so new so inexperienced that it seems like you ask yourself how can this person possibly help but if their heart is it and their intentions are good and they want to help and theyre eager to learn how to help AND most importantly that you be 100 invested and involved in every session you will see results. Some of the best therapist my son had were the brand-new ones. So what I would suggest is not looking for somebody super experienced because you can find a super experienced dentist and they can still lie and overcharge you you can find a super experienced chef and the food be bland yes experience is important but in the world of autism I think compassion and passion are the most important thing you can expect from a person who comes into your home to help your child.

Do not waste your time money your kids time or your kids recovery. If you think this is the place that your kid is going to get the adequate care that they need you thought wrong completely understaffed underfunded and the higher-ups are just blatantly rude and are there for nothing more than a paycheck. They are not there for someones wellbeing merely a check. I would never ever bring my kid here. I would personally HIGHLY suggest finding any other IOP PHP or therapy service that is NOT ACES major disappointment. Seems as if the supervisors and higher ups and dont even know whats going on with their own clients theyre just focused on collecting that good old cash money or insurance. Their form of therapy is absolutely a joke to me. If you do some research you will realize that their method of approaching autism is outdated and minimalistic. CBT and EDMR are where it is at. Significant improvememts rapidly.
