1 Best Special Needs Attorneys near Fairview Heights, IL 62208

A special education attorney is a legal professional who focuses on special education cases.

These lawyers have particular expertise surrounding your state’s schools system and the specific laws, requirements, and precedents governing schools’ responsibility to support students.

It’s likely that a special needs attorney has worked with many families in the past who are in your shoes, so they can be a helpful resource in navigating conversations with your school district. Plus, it’s likely that your school district has lawyers, so a special education lawyer can level the playing field by giving you an equally informed and powerful advocate on your side of the table.

Many dedicated parents find it possible to navigate the school system by themselves, but it might be helpful to have a special education attorney by your side if you:

• Don’t know your rights
• Face barriers to arguing for your rights
• Disagree with the services that your child is receiving.
