have been diabetic for several years. My doctor put me on a long acting form of Metformin and glipizide. Even with a high dose of two medications daily my glucose was always above 200 at fast in the morning and of course higher after a meal. I was terrified of having to use insulin. So when a friend told me that she hired a nutritionist who helped her husband reverse type 2 diabetes I immediately called Zizania. Within 2 weeks my glucose came down to 130 in the morning -- still high but a huge progress for me. My numbers after dinner are those of a healthy person now between 120 and 150. After a month on the program I had my blood test done. My A1c went from 10 to 7. Thats just in one month. My doctor eliminated one of the medications and decreased the dose of the second one. I am vegetarian and when looking for a meal plan for weight loss it seemed everything I found insisted on consuming meat as part of the plan. So when I met Dominique of Zizania I immediately mentioned that I was vegetarian and it was important to me to continue that lifestyle.
