About Wicomico County Infants and Toddlers

The Program is family-centered & community based. It serves children who have a developmental delay or who are at risk for a developmental delay. Services are designed to maximize the developmental potential of children while providing support to families. The program uses a parent coaching model which empowers the family to be their child's first and best teacher. Through collaboration with hospitals & community agencies, the Program also helps families navigate the range of services that are outside the scope of the early intervention system. The program partners the Wicomico County Public Schools, the Wicomico County Department of Health and the Wicomico County Department of Social Services together in assisting families who reside in Wicomico County.

Beaming Review

They are through the schools and meant to reach out and help the special needs prior to starting school. Not Multiple children family and/or working family friendly. Everything is during the weekday ONLY and while most have to work or deal with other child(ren) needs. They offer nothing towards early evening etc. They are aware it is a problem, but they have no intentions of doing anything about it. Basically, they cater to a very small group (no other children and do not work), everyone else is blown off. You cannot be for the children if you ignore the needs of the vast majority you are supposed to be serving. It is a poor excuse for a service, and they are perfectly fine with their minimum efforts. It shines a light on how much the school are willing to help those who need it. They do not like their budgets going from their pockets to the students instead and it shows.
