I absolutely love Waterworks We first started with the parent me classes which is when the parent actually enters the pool with your toddler or younger. This is a great bonding experience for me and my son and it was a great intro for him to the pool. After we went to a number of these classes we realized it was probably beneficial for him to move up and do some solo one-on-one training with an instructor. We chose. Giselle randomly but she turned out to be a perfect fit for my son. She is been patient and very understanding and gives him the space and time that he needs to feel confident and safe in the water. He has learned so much in the few months that hes been attending that I am amazed. He will be swimming on his own in no time.

Recently I have started some classes again for our kids. However the instructors are sometimes tardy and end the classes 2 to 3 minutes early. There should be a gap of 3 to 5 minutes between each class so that instructors dont use the lesson time to comment on the same lesson or performance. We have classes very early and there are not many instructors available to select from. Some instructors take their time teaching and chit-chatting with other instructors not really focusing on how to get the students attention and correct their swimming postures. I dont think its fair because their rates are already quite expensive. The 20-minute sessions are more like 18-minute sessions.

I loved this place . But some instructors take away from that experience. Im a mom of a special needs child who was recommended this place by the regional center. My son had a male instructor who was impatient and didnt seem to understanding of his disability. He was aggressive with my son which lead my son to crytantrum outside of the facility to bring him inside. During his swim time hed just cry and scream as the instructor dunked my sons face under water.

Dominique is amazing with my son and we are blown away by the professionalism and inclusivity Waterworks offers to children who need extra assistance. The swim area is very warm which makes a huge difference for us.

Dont recommend it for several reasons1.The pool has no distance for the swimmers2. Pool was very crowded3. They charge 70 for 20 min but they end the class 2-3 min early 4. I canceled my classes because my child was very sick and they gave me 3 make up classeswhich they expired them soonso I lost 210 5.After spending 700 my kid doesnt know how to swim

This is a great place for kids swim lessons. I have been bringing my children here for over a decade. The indoor heated pool is good all year. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

I cannot speak enough about Pasadena Waterworks mom of three swimmers active member since 2014 The facility is accommodating to all families and the instructors are amazing. All three of my children have learned how to freely swim on their own with different instructors based on their individual style and need. Finding the right swimming instructor for your child is a process and can be challengingstressful. Marci front is the instructor whisper. Not only is she very knowledgeable with all the instructors teaching styles she will make sure you get the right instructor at the time slot you need and will go out of her way to make things work for you. If you have any concerns Jason admin has always been accommodating and really knows the flow of the place at all times. Follow-up here is 100.Yes there are turn overs of good instructors leaving and new instructors training. But something I can say that worked for me was that the facility provided consistency AND my children loves their experiences here. I would highly recommend this learning center to my family and friends.

UPDATE 101023 After our initial disappointing experience I was surprised when the waterworks people contacted me the next day to let me know that they had received my feedback and had talked to the instructors. They said they would give more sensitivity training so that it doesnt happen again. They offered the opportunity for them to make things right. They scheduled her comped private sessions with one of the seasoned instructorsmanagers Ally who took the extra time to get to know her personality before recommending other instructors. This manager has supervised all subsequent lessons with other instructors so far including today. As I update this review we are at her fourth lesson after the initial negative experience. I was compelled to update this immediately because as soon as she saw her new instructor again she was all smiles and enthusiastically hopped into the pool. Her progress today was significant Maybe all it took was for her to trust her instructor and for her instructor to instill confidence into her. What more could I ask for than a child who now looks forward to swimming lessons and is showing marked progress so quickly I am beyond pleased with how this turned out. Very appreciative of the waterworks staff for being proactive in turning this situation around swiftly and efficientlyFIRST REVIEW FROM FIVE WEEKS AGO This is just a review for today. My daughter hadnt been in lessons since before pandemic. She had her first lesson today. Her instructor was training another new instructor. According to my child during the lesson the instructor told the new instructor that my child was not even close to where she was supposed to be. This may be true but my daughter is really sensitive and took it to heart and was so upset and discouraged at hearing this that that she cried after the lesson and says she never wants to go back. So much for swimming lessons.

I cant say enough good things about Waterworks. My son gas been taking lessons since he was 3 months old Started with parent and me and then move to semi private. We paused for 6 months during 2020 and then came back for semi private. We had different teachers and we loved them. Eventually my son stick with Mr. Cody and we have been with him ever since 2020. My son is 4 years old and he can swim independently by himself Hes water safe too. I love the facility has long lanes for me to do lape swimming too. So usually my son takes lesson Ill be right next lane swimming . Not all gym has good lape swimming lane to do turns and etc.
