I can only speak about my experience with one speech therapist at Wala'au that I've had the displeasure of working with. Stephanie Mullin. I find her to be rude, condescending and passive aggressive. She uses baby talk with my client and not surprisingly, lacks rapport with them. She acts as if she alone knows everything when she's talking down to me, which is often. I would never allow my family members to work with her because I fear she'd damage their self esteem, thus hindering progress. Her fake smiles do not light up her eyes and they kinda freak me out. I find it very uncomfortable to work with her. I do not recommend this provider and will be looking for a new one as soon as possible.

The occupational therapy process includes an OT evaluation before care starts. Here are the four steps your family can expect when starting occupational therapy:

Monitor your progress. You can expect ongoing progress monitoring and communication to ensure you're achieving your short and long-term goals.
