Introduction

Hi families! I’m Vivienne (or “Ms. V” for short), a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in the East Bay Area. Whether via a telehealth session, at your home, or at another location in the community, my goal is to make speech therapy engaging and meaningful for you and your child. While I have experience with a wide range of communication needs across multiple settings, I have specialized training and experience in Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Gestalt Language Processing, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and the early intervention program It Takes Two to Talk.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Passionate
Curious
Adaptable
Passionate: I’m lucky to have found a career that makes work feel a lot less like work. I’m passionate about supporting my clients and their families—whether that’s helping explain an IEP, advocating for a client to receive an AAC device, or collaborating with a child’s other providers and educators. Curious: I enjoy keeping up to date with current research in the field and make continuing education a priority to better serve my clients. Adaptable: My ability to follow a child's lead while continuing to address their communication goals makes speech therapy more engaging and authentic.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

My experience and specialties lead me to being an especially good match for emerging and complex communicators of all ages. I’m passionate about expanding a child’s communicative functions and means by supporting intelligibility (speech sounds), use of AAC, and increasing joint attention and meaningful interactions. I also have a wealth of experience with the preschool age group across settings, making me what you could call a “preschool generalist,” familiar with supporting preschoolers with a wide range of communication needs.

    Beaming Review

My experience working with Vivienne as her clinical supervisor was incredible. She is hard-working reliable caring and knowledgeable. She established great relationships with all of our clients and their families very quickly. I would confidently send my child to her for therapy services as I could be certain that she would provide a high level of care and go above and beyond for them.
