About Vanguard Preparatory School

The Vanguard Preparatory School serves children and families who, for different, often complex reasons, are not well served by traditional public and private schools. Vanguard provides an environment where students can excel to the full extent of their capabilities. Excel might mean achieving academic honors and going on to college with a full scholarship or it might mean the freedom to live independently and pursue meaningful work. Vanguard is unique in our ability to integrate academic learning with social-emotional learning. We have been doing both―and doing both well—for a long time.

There is no other school on earth that I would rather have my son. He has attended Vanguard for almost 4 years and we are continually blown away by the love care and attention that the staff shows every single child. They pour out ALL of themselves for these kiddos. Truly some of the best people I have ever known My child has felt heard understood and accepted for who he is. His teachers see his potential and help him daily to reach his goals. The growth we have seen in him has been remarkable

My daughter will graduate from Vanguard this summer. The school has been a Godsend to her and our family The high teacher to student ratios and having teachers and counselors on staff who get kids with special needs is invaluable. I cant imagine where she and we would be without Vanguard Keep up the great work

Glorified day care is not run competently. Dont waste money on your childs education here its not worth it. Your child will not receive a quality education if any if they are to attend this institution. This school does not provide a structured learning environment for students and teachers typically take a laissez-faire approach to teaching if they manage to teach at all. This school is covenient if you dont care about your developmentally or behaviorally challenged child and just wish them to be out of sight and out of mind as opposed to having a quality education.

The kids are so happy there. My niece has been there 3 years and loves it. But more importantly they love her.
