About University of Florida Child Psychiatry Clinic
UF Health Psychiatry experts, including board-certified psychiatrists and psychologists, offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for child and adolescents facing mental health issues. The treatment team combines clinical innovation, research and education to improve the lives of minors in the greater North Central Florida area. While inpatient treatment is offered at the UF Health Psychiatric Hospital, outpatient services are offered at UF Health Child Psychiatry – Springhill. Our collaborative team of UF Health child psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced registered nurse practitioners and therapists work together to meet the evaluation and treatment needs of children and their families. Services include: Parent education and support Medication management Diagnostic clarification Psychotherapy School advocacy Psycho-educational testing Second opinions Physician consults We also offer comprehensive and diagnostic evaluations of developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders in collaboration with the UF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities. Our specialists work with parents, families, guardians and child advocates to develop individualized treatment plans for each child or adolescent in our care.
