Tri - County Behavioral Healthcare - Conroe

I dropped my wife off for her appointment 15 minutes early. Two and a half hours later i went inside and asked to speak with her. She left her cell phone in the truck. I was told it was illegal to relay a message or for them to look for her. . Do i was called into work. Leave wife or get fired. Tri county did me wrong

My case worker bailed on me at the start of the pandemic and I just recently tried to get back onto the medication I was previously prescribed. After only a few minutes of talking to me they decided that they couldnt treat me there and changed my diagnosis. A shifty grad school student and a questionable woman I spoke with afterwards determined that tri countys previous plan for me was wrong despite only meeting with me for a few minutes. I spent about 6 hours traveling and waiting just for them to speculate that the actual psychiatrist I spoke with in the past at tri County was wrong.

I didnt even receive a medical evaluation before they told me how much I would need to pay a month. I had no idea what I would be even paying for. Then I was told that because I dont want to take their medication that I have to go somewhere else and they referred me to a psychiatric office where I have to pay money where I obviously cant afford.I clearly have a mental condition and I cant afford anything to get help. I just want to know what my condition is and they refuse me because I said I didnt want to take medication.UPDATE they called me and asked me to come in again. The exact same thing happened. They made me fill out paperwork that I already finished then told me that I didnt need to fill it out and that I was there for an appointment which I had already informed them of... I saw the exact same lady that I saw last time. She literally told me the exact same thing she did the last time I saw her. Why did you call me and tell me to come in if you were just going to tell me the exact same thingI openly express very personal feelings and thoughts which they ask you to tell them only for her to leave the room for 5 minutes and come back and tell me again sorry we cant help you because you wont take our medication and help support our state funded operation.These people are here to keep their jobs theyre not here to actually help anybody. Its in their best interest to deal out medication so the state keeps funding their operation. So if you tell them you dont want medication and that that wont help you or heal you they are guaranteed to turn you down regardless of the severity of your situation.I had to miss work today to come in here and hope that I could receive some kind of help therapy something. If I miss work it means Im going to be hungry later because I cant feed myself. I live alone and its tough to pay for all the bills myself with a mental condition that nobody is helping me with.

All Ive got to say is I have more acronyms then most people have ever heard of I am in need of mental health services and my case worker Kyle has yet to get back to me after multiple attempts reaching out to his voicemail or coworkers I get it Kyle you hate your job that being the case just quit buddy so I can actually get some real mental help

Dont ever take your loved one there for help unless you want them making FALSE allegations Absolutely ridiculous You reach out for help and they do something so horrendous How dare you

I went in for depression. They prescribed me lithium and gabapentin. I felt sick and dead to the world like a zombie. My family pleaded with me to get off the meds because it completely wiped my personality. They didnt tell me until after I had been taking them a while and decided to get off of them that I cannot quit cold turkey so I had to ween myself slowly from zombie back to human.

Absolutely disgusted with this place and it is an absolute useless waste of precious time effort and energy. All they do is give people drugs and send them on their way. They are not interested is helping those with mental health issues. They are not there to prevent someone from making drastic decisions when in a distraught state of mind. I visited this disgrace of a clinc recently because I am personally having mental health issues and am to the point of not being able to be left alone with myself I do not have the funds available at the moment for some fancy expensive counselor but I am trying with every thing I have left inside me to hold on to life and find help. They told me they could not help me and sent me away with a bunch of papers for counselors all hours away from me. That isnt helpful. I like many others do not have the financial ability to drive hours away for help when I need it most. It is hard enough to just get up and brush my hair everyday.I left with the overwhelming feeling of hopelessness and cried my heart out because I feel everywhere Ive looked Ive been turned away. This was where I was recommend to go buy offices that dont have inexpensive services and services I cant afford because they turned me away aswell.Im not looking for medication to numb my body Im looking for help. According to their website and brochures and posters blasted all over their walls help is what they offer. But after driving an hour and sitting for another hour or so when I was finally able to speak with them face to face that is in fact a lie. Do not go here hoping to find help do not waste what precious energy you have left while being in a distraught mental state hoping for a helping hand a listening ear or any kind of compassion for mental health. You will be pushed through like youre just another check mark on a tally board of people whom pass through here.You will be met with rejection here you will be told we can not help you unless youre schizophrenic and we only give out medication. Another part of our failed system in society.I wonder how many have left here feeling as hopeless as I did because it was basically a last resort or maybe an only resort for some. I wonder how many lives were lost due to the negligence of this place and basically telling people we just offer medication or we only help with basic depression or schizophrenia. There are so many suffering with all forms of mental illnesses that cause depression anxiety thoughts of suicide and self harm. Not just schizophrenia. They dont always have money or the resources to for 200 sessions with some fancy therapist. Yet they too need help they too need someone to recognize them to see them to help them.Shame on this establishment shame on their employees for treating people the way they do shame on them for lying about their services shame for casting people away and on them and the system for failing to treat people as human beings and not just another checklist to get through before lunch.

The psychologist I was with at the time never listened to any my suspicions of a personality disorder she would just tell me your a teenager its just a overwhelming time in ur life i was 19 at the time I felt my worries were unheard by the person who was suppose to be a expert. Not to mental I literally waited a whole year on a waitlist for availabile counselor and I still never received it. All they seem to care abt is prescribing you drugs and tell you to have a nice day. The only reason I still give this a place an extra star is bc I had amazing case worker who would never shame me and always listened to what I had to say.

Horrible place. Wont work with adults with adhdautism. Will not give you anything for panic attacks or depression. Cant prescribe any controlled substances. Will only prescribe benadryl for anxiety. Waste of time. My son and I are going to find somewhere else to find help. Im really surprised that they are still operating as a business that HELPS people. They literally cant help anyone with actual mental issues. Hope this helps other people trying to find help. DO NOT GO HERE. ITS FREE FOR A REASON

Do not go here if you have been diagnosed with anxiety or suspect that may be your problem. Apparently they do not treat anxiety. They will however make you jump through a few hoops before they tell you that. Which as anyone who suffers from anxiety knows only contributes to the problem.
