ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis. ABA is a therapy based in the science of human behavior and strives to promote socially significant behavior change. Behavior analysis helps to understand why behavior is occurring and how behavior is being shaped by the environment. Your child will have a team of therapists which will include BCBAs, RBTs, and the clinical director. The team will be highly trained individuals motivated to help your child succeed.

A BCBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This is an individual with a graduate level certification in behavior analysis. BCBAs supervise the practice of Registered Behavior Therapists (RBTs) and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs).

An RBT is a Registered Behavior Technician. This individual practices behavior analysis under the ongoing supervision of a BCBA. An RBT will be carrying out the majority of the 1:1 therapy with your child. The RBT will only be given tasks commensurate with their education and experience.
