The Winston School

Winston School has been wonderful for our son. This is his senior year he has been here since the ninth grade. The teachers here are phenomenal. They truly care about each child and teach them in a meaningful positive and constructive way. My son has gained enormous confidence in himself over the past four year. The administration is dedicated to make the school the best possible educational experience. I highly recommend this school

The Winston School is a supportive and welcoming environment for students and staff. All staff members bring special and unique talents to their class reaching each students needs. Together we are providing a learning environment that has seeped out of the classroom and into living rooms allowing us to become an extension of their family. One can truly call The Winston School a home away from home. I am part of this family and couldnt be happier. If you are seeking a school for your learner go no further. I have worked in the counseling department at The Winston School for almost two years now. In that time I have met many new students and every time I ask them how they are liking Winston they express something like Ive finally found my home. The students and their families tell me they are grateful for the kind teachers and staff who take the time to get to know them as individuals and for their fellow students who welcome them from Day 1. In my estimation The Winston School provides a healthy balance of challenge and support with instructional delivery tailored to each students needs. I would highly recommend this school for any student who has struggled to find the right fit elsewhere.

Im a teacher at the Winston School. It is a wonderful environment for students and staff alike The campus is beautiful -- quiet green next to the ocean totally peaceful. And the teachers and administration are all totally committed to creating a nurturing individualized experience for every student while making sure those students still apprehend grade-level curriculum. The Winston School is a small but mighty non-public school. It is student-driven meaning theyll do whatever it takes to get the kids interested engaged and learning. Every student who attends has challenges maybe in the past theyve been told that there are things they cant do or cant succeed at. But at Winston they help those children see their strengths. Its a place of fresh starts and new beginnings. The staff are brilliant highly-qualified creative enthusiastic and focus on reaching the whole child. At Winston they never give up.

Ive worked here for 7 years and while my opinion may be biased The Winston School is my home away from home. The Winston Family is compassionate caring comforting and most importantly FUN We all do our very best to not only take care of our students first but to support one another as staff as well. The curriculum can be tough but our teachers are exceptional and accommodating and the kids really seem to be enjoying the culture. Our motto is true to our school Never never never give up

We moved two years ago from Oregon so that my son with learning differences could attend the Winston School and we could not be happier with the teachers and the school It is a wonderful school where each student is seen as unique and their strengths are highlighted while areas of need get the attention they deserve. I highly recommend the Winston School and all the faculty and staff.

I would like to thank all of the teachers and administrators and aides at the Winston school. They have demonstrated true caring flexibility kindness and generosity especially during this online school transition.. Every day I have thanked out loud the wonderful effort the teachers have made to make sure the kids are happy content and confident. It is the flexibility and understanding of our kids needs that sets this school apart and the teachers are the leaders. They have been amazing and deserve praise every day.

Working at Winston has been an amazing addition to my career in education. The students staff and families are incredible. Everyone works so hard and it truly feels like a family. I am grateful to work here and be able to share so many wonderful experiences on this campus.

The Winston School taught me how to value myself and rise to meet the challenges of the adult world. It pushed me to overcome many of my learning challenges through teaching strategies as well as providing emotional support. My time here gave me the foundational skills that I needed to go off to college and earn a bachelors degree .My life was completely changed by Winston at Winston I found friends and adult mentors that I continue to stay in contact with. At Winston students can expect to be treated as individuals and taught as individuals.
