I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Speech Space. My daughters speech therapist Rachel was a blessing. Rachel made the sessions fun and educational and my daughter was always excited to go and made such progress. The administrative team is also wonderful. They were compassionate and helpful in providing service during a stressful time.

Our family LOVES Rachel. Our son has been in speech therapy for expressive language delay since he was 20 months old. For the first seven months he received treatment at a different practice where he made progress on certain foundational milestones but still had only a handful of words. Because of circumstances beyond our control we needed to find a new practice and having had the benefit of prior experience we felt strongly about finding a therapist who would conduct in-person therapy sessions and would provide our son with tools to get him talking. The Speech Space came with a fabulous recommendation from a family friend and after discussions about my son they recommended that he work with Rachel. And we are so grateful they did. Mere hours after his first session with her he said the word mama for the first time and my heart soared. In less than two months he has become a regular chatterbox and copies new words he hears on an everyday basis. Rachel uses a play-based approach with our son but in a programmatic fashion that has gradually developed his sound and word vocabulary. She used cards as the foundational blocks to help him learn and prompt sounds. And she ends each session by drafting a summary of the lesson from the day and the plans for continued working at home. She encourages participation by caregivers in the lessons and makes time to discuss any concerns or questions that we may have. To say we have been overjoyed by our sons progress in such a short amount of time is an understatement. Because he can express himself hes less frustrated and more confident in social settings and around other children and adults. Rachel has such a warm and encouraging manner in working with our son and he absolutely loves going to his sessions with her.

Terrific services all around. Our 2 year old son was diagnosed with an expressive language delay and has been working with Anya for approximately 6 months and we have seen such incredible gains. Anya is so caring and has developed a strong bond with our son. She is patient and persistent while working with him and he adores her. She gets him to do the hard work. The whole practice is super communicative and its been such a pleasure working with them as we navigate the pandemic. In person speech therapy is crucial and Im so thankful they have figured out how to safely see these kiddos in person.

Weve been working with Miss Rachel at The Speech Space for 6 months for our nearly 4yo son. Rachels great technical skill and warm demeanor have helped our son progress steadily in his speech language development. He is always thrilled for special playtime with Miss Rachel and we are really happy to see progress not only in speech language but also in attention and focus to table activities tasks. Were so thankful to have found The Speech Space team

We have been working with Rachel for nearly six months and our childs articulation has improved substantially. We meet online for 30 minutes twice per week. Our child was 3.5 years old when he started and it was our first experience with speech therapy let alone remote speech therapy. Our child looks forward to sessions with Rachel and is always excited to see her. She works with our child to figure out what is motivating and changes things up on the spot as needed to keep engagement. We get summary reports after each session detailing our childs progress and how we can continue working in between sessions. We highly recommend Rachel she is great

We are so pleased with the Speech Space therapists Monica is incredibly friendly and is always quick to answer any questions we may have. We have a special appreciation for our speech therapist Anna whom our toddler son connected with almost instantly. Anna is fantastic Shes so kind upbeat and patient with kids and gives caretakers thoughtful feedback at every session. Our typically shy boy is so comfortable with Anna and in just a short time hes made tremendous strides in his verbal speech ability. We are so proud of the what hes accomplished and credit it to our ongoing work with the great team at the Speech Space. Would recommend for any parent seeking pediatric speech therapy without question.

We began using the speech space services last year My then three Year old was nonverbal. She said no and maybe another word. Just a bit of background for parents that are looking for a speech therapist and was in our situation she is not autistic has no other delays at all. A perfectly regular playful smart 3 year old who just did not speak at all- she was great at non verbal communication-understood mostly what was said to her. During her first year of preschool she started therapy with Rachel who has been God Sent to our family. After each session we receive a paper of what theyve worked on and how we can practice at home. Exactly a year later our 4 year old is speaking as I would expect her to She is basically where she needs to be. Her communication is great Completely different child. We her parents as well as strangers can easily understand her. She can count to 20- knows her colors- animals and other information you would expect a four year old to be able to communicate. She is doing spectacular. Rachel and her have accomplished so much. If you are at all a bit hesitant about the speech space please move forward. I promise you will not be disappointed. I have tears in my eyes as I write this now there is not a word for how grateful I am to Rachel and their services at The Speech Space.

My preschool daughter started receiving services from The Speech Space in the early Fall 2020 during the pandemic. My daughter is immunocompromised and weve had to do everything virtually. I was immediately impressed with how engaged my daughter became with her therapist. She looks forward to every lesson and excitedly asks every morning if she has speech that day Not only does my daughter enjoy the lessons but her speech has improved dramatically. Previously she was unintelligible to any person other than immediate family members. Last week she engaged in a long conversation with her pediatrician--a person who has not seen her for several months and is thus unfamiliar with her cadence--for the first time. I credit my daughters improvement to the hard work and patience of her therapist in understanding my daughter during her unintelligible days and working with the family on incorporating positive strategies in our own speech to encourage my daughters fluency. I cannot thank you enough

Ms. Megan is the absolutely best At age 3 we learned that my son had significant fluid in his ears to the point where he could not hear. This slowed down his speech capabilities significantly. We started working with Megan right before my son had tubes put in his ears to alleviate the fluid and improve his hearing. I was worried hed feel shy or nervous for his first appointment so wanted to make sure I was there. There must have been magic in the air as within a few minutes my son was playing with Megan. My quiet little guy had transformed. After that first session Megan gave us some things we could do at home to help our little guy...and the feedback hasnt stopped. Im amazed at how communicative Megan is particularly on a topic as complex as speech. When she started working with my son he hardly spoke. Now hes an animated little guy that can carry on a conversation...and thats only after a few months. Not only is he making progress with Megan but he truly looks forward to working with her. Megan is amazing and Id rec commend her services to anyone

If you were to cross Mother Teresa Mr. Miyagi your favorite teacher and your childs best friend you would end up with Megan. Ive never met someone so adept at moving at the speed of my sonic-the-hedgehog like toddler -- while actively and strategically working with him on his speech. My son looks forward to Megans visits every morning he asks if she is coming to play and refers to her as one of his best friends. Okay he cant quite say friend clearly yet but I have every confidence that with Megans help he soon will. Its so refreshing to know that our son looks forward to his therapy playtime as much as we look forward to seeing his improvements. It was Megan who adeptly and accurately diagnosed our sons oral motor planning issues Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Thus our son will need continued SLP services for quite some time. Its our hope that Megan will be with us for the foreseeable future as she continues to be an endless resource to us friendly responsive and always there to answer any question or concern we have as parents. She has an experts mind and a childs heart. I simply cannot think of a better person to be working with our son or advocating with our insurance.-Rachel
