The Healthcare Resort of Colorado Springs

My 90-year-old mother has been in several rehabilitation centers in the last few years and without a doubt the staff here have been consistently the most caring and attentive. They have allowed me to spend the night in her room while Im visiting from out of town so Ive seen it all. She never has to wait very long when she presses the call button for assistance. Ive also met the kitchen staff here and they have been so kind to me when Ive gone to get her coffee or milk. Kudos and sincerest thanks for the care you all are giving my mom

Worst place EVER I give this place a Big Fat 0. My mom was at the so called resort supposed to be doing rehab to get better and come home. The staff seem unhappy most of the time. Staff called me last Monday and said my mom had a rough night shaking and crying so they gave her an anxiety pill and when we went to see her she was soaked so I went an asked the nurse Pam who is pregnant if my mom had been given a shower and she stated that was Not her job to ask someone else at the nurses station. My mom turned on her call light as we were in the hall talking and Pam went in my moms room and shut off her call light and left the room. About an hour after I arrived home the Dr from the resort called me and said they think my mom might be septic so they sent her to the hospital. My mom has a colostomy bag that would break open about 3x a day due to the staff not checking it and leak all over her while she would have her call light on waiting for them to come in the room. Come to find out at the hospital not only was she septic she also had a very bad UTI from laying in the wet diaper thing a lot of the time. Well the hospital also told us that she had gotten Ecoli in her blood stream from the colostomy bag breaking and leaking on to her body. She ended up in ICU for a few days with high doses of antibiotics. So if I were you I would find a different place for your loved one if you want them cared for

My mother was a post-hospital resident of The Healthcare Resort for just over a month. Shes been in other rehab places over the past few years and this has been the best experience yet I also think that upper management is doing an excellent job. The people I dealt with were very willing to listen to my input as Ive been dealing with my moms situation for years. Very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Thank you

My wife recently stayed at The Healthcare Resort of Colorado Springs. Both she and I found the staff nurses physical and occupational therapists and others to be supportive and excellent in every way. For example the response time when the call button was pushed was short usually the call was answered within minutes. This may seem like a small thing but when you need to go to the toilet well you know what Im talking about. We also found the accommodations to be clean and well cared for. We recommend the Healthcare Resort without reservation.

My friend is in for rehab from a knee replacement emergency surgery and the nurse checking on him was very thorough. She noticed something that didnt seem right and made the needed appointment adjustments to get him seen much sooner. Just seems she was doing her job but from my experience lately she went out of her way to take care of the matter. Following the Golden Rule

My husband is in the facility 6days ago. He needs pt ot and just a simple socializing chat with the staffs. He had temper when hes not attended right away.The staffs handled very well professionally when my husband is in the bad mood situation.Thank you all for your understanding with my husband attitude towards you guys.You did respond well.Thank you. The nurses and attendants are very nice The food quality is not that great with some food and drink being cold Every patient should have a specific food menu according to their eating habits The food needs a complete overhaul and supervision Thank you

I would say this resort deserves a 5 star. My husband was in the facility 8 days and his needs were taken care of from conversation to PT Speech and OT and a special mattress so he could sleep more comfortable. His well being and safty was at the utmost priorityHe did complain and they greated him with a smile. due to his pain Great appreciation to all the staff. In spending many days beside my husband while in the resort there job is tough and they greet it with a smile Kudos Thank you all

We feel fortunate that my husband was able to get into the Healthcare Resort for rehab after his stroke. Visitors all commented on the nice environment. Food selection is varied and has all day options available for order. I see many comments on staff shortage but that is common every where. A member of the housekeeping staff said they all help in requests and I found that the message was passed along quickly to the appropriate employee. Their staff are wonderful caring people to the resident and family.

The staff is very helpful and professional. Right away the staff make you feel welcome and comfortable. The environment is spotless and manicured. You feel at ease knowing your loved ones are in good capable hands with people who really do care. The therapy facility is amazing as well.
