The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics

That was one of the worst experiences I have ever had the nurses lied to me and they never listened to me when I told them I was in pain. Also they switched nurses on me every day and night which was ok until they brought in like student nurses that actually were so slow they would be fired at any fast food place. Lastly there was one nurse that helped me in the restroom then without changing her gloves helped me into bed honestly I think the owner needs to do serious quality control and fire some of these people. I wish I stayed somewhere else

Our daughter was admitted here in February 23 for about 4 days and for how stressful this type of situation is for any parent the doctors nurses who took care of our daughter were amazing. Very informative and sympathetic and were very grateful to them

Very incompetent staff including doctors and nurses in the NICU who cant even find my daughters veins for IVs Cant do a PICC Line perforated my daughters stomach with poorly placed NG and suction tubes Horrible place Worst when it comes to neonatal care If you want quality care for your LO just drive a few hours to Boston Childrens Hospital.

The horrific acts perpetrated in this hospital is disposable and the fact Barbra bushs name is on it Carries with it her legacy of child mutations.

Wouldnt have my child get treated for a skinned knee here.

My daughter was born 2 months premature and the hospital only had stool sample containers for my breast milk. The containers smelled like plastic and I was told by a staff person the containers were not food grade. I had to use test tubes and asked a nurse not to transfer the food into the stool container. When I came back later she was using the stool container to transfer her milk through my fragile babys feeding tube.They really do a terrible job in the NICU and I fear most of the nurses are happy their patients cant talk. Every nurse that changed her diaper made her cry they treated the babies like objects and I dont think babies are safe here.I never donate to the Barbara Bush Childrens Hospital. Thankfully we were transferred to CMMC and they surprisingly did a much better job. For Maines biggest best hospital this is very sad and they hurt a lot of families.

Four month old waiting for over four hours for someone to move baby to room while mother dealing with a toddler for seven hours came into hospital 530 still at 130 am mother still waiting for room. Will be looking into this further to see if this is a standard. I am thinking of legal options at this point

My daughter ended up here unexpectedly while on vacation. We received outstanding treatment and super friendly care from the best health care staff Ive ever met.

The best care id recommend it my daughter was here for a while after her birth 16 years ago throughout her 1st year... And then subsequently over the next 10 yrs. It was 1st rate 16 years ago its still first rate. Medical care is top nursing staff second to none. If your child is in a hospital in Maine or New Hampshire they should be at Barbara Bush childrens hospital. Dont settle for mediocre care elsewhere.
