About The Arc of Augusta
Welcome! For nearly 60 years, The Arc of Augusta has existed as a non-profit organization. Together with our members, self-advocates, and the Board of Directors, we advocate for and support individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We work to foster respect and protection of human rights of people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and their families. Everyone is a valued, contributing member of their community. Here at The Arc of Augusta, we also operate two Group Day Support Programs for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in our community. Participants volunteer, make crafts, explore different parts of the Shenandoah Valley, eat together at local restaurants, and celebrate a variety of events together.
