About The Arc of Anderson County

The Arc is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. We encompass all ages and more than 100 different diagnoses including autism, Down syndrome, Fragile × syndrome, and various other developmental disabilities. The local chapter in Anderson county currently serves Anderson, Morgan, and Roane counties. The Arc Anderson County is a family-based organization that promotes, protects, and advocates for the rights of people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities to life self-determined, meaningful lives in inclusive communities. The mission of The Arc Anderson County is to promote advocacy, empowerment, and full participation for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
