Horrible.Lost my parents and was going through a divorce. Needed the job. Omg Carrrolyn made me almost end my journey on earth. She gave reclined my offe d because I was late to go for my urinalysis which was rescheduled and I explained She came up saying i dozed off during training ok She said I should reapply which I did Sadly she only enjoyed watching me get humilated . Sent her series of emails went to the office several times and wished she had told me no.but he kept tossing me around . Finally I got an email. After 14 applicationsshe said i am not to be rehired. I know I am good at the jobI know I never missed a ny testing I am nothing worthy of disqualification without reasons she frustrated me. I could not get my kids. I had to watch an abusive ex take more advantage of me.Work ethics us reality I get it that sometimes the policy may have called for nothing other than a reclined letter following missed an appointmenteven in cases of death of both parents and divorce . I guess its non of their business but after eight 8months I guess or thought that should have fetched me a second trial. Sadly they are still hiring the same position and still posting daily. I have had 3 people apply that have lesser experience yet they hired them. Should one person dislike another persons complexion or race be enough to stop an entire workforce from hiring a worker deserving of it who made a mistake based on life simply lifeingPower When placed in the hand of one wrong person it can ruin the reputation of an organization.I feel they are biased and very unprofessional. But a lot later I will make sure to speak about this on youtube. Stopping the anormaly starts by and with someones voice relentlessly achoed . I remember all the feelings of rejection hate pain I felt. Im losing everything.. I lived in my car and attended training from my car after my wicked ex humilated me out . Human resources is dealing with humans not apes I feel lacking empathy even when serving the reclined offer was not right. You can show empathy even in the worst of all situations. Arc of cheasapeake on Philadelphia Road is like a mini club run by an administration who is very political and unprofessional at serving the community.

The Arc use to be a good place to work but the work atmosphere and ethics is terrible now since the good people in management left like James Phillips Toni Webster Zalena Giles Denise Creadle and thats just to name a few. And the quality has just gone down terribly. Ive worked at The Arc almost 6 years and its like a whole different place now. The staff is overworked and underpaid. I think that The Arc has to do better screenings with the people they hire in management positions. The Arc has lost a lot of good employees because of the unprofessional work ethics. Now they will run staff to work at 3 in one day almost everyday without any incentives. And they just expect people to accept it. Extra work every day with no extra payand you just never know what to expect when you come to work. Even the Nurse Danyell isnt good like the nurses who use to work at the Arc and the Arc has lost a lot of good staff because of nasty house managers like Kim McNair and Lori Forman. I wish the Arc never lost the good people who worked there. Well they have 2 good people like Nena Peaker and Johnnie Townsend and hopefully the Arc wont lose them either.

My opinion about this place is in certain areas such as community partners theres a lot of communication. I like my supervisor but check things changed up on a daily basis. I made friends and got along with just about everyone. However administration in our department was not good. Not saying because I was fired Im stating fact. So tread lightly and good luck

When first applying for this job I read so many bad reviews and was told by multiple people to stay away. But being an excited new graduate I was eager to get my first job in the field i got my degree for. Orientation was amazing and thats the only reason im giving 2 stars. Once you actually get to your assigned house everything is chaotic and unorganized. The employees hired for the AON shift just sleep all night without doing their jobs and the DSPs that have been there a long time talk down on the new employees. On my first day my supervisor didnt even know who I was or why I was at the house and for the first hour of my shift i watched her and another DSP chaotically try to figure out what was going on. The lack of professionalism in so many departments of this company is pitiful. They dont respect their employees at all despite them valuing mental health. So please if youre like me reading reviews and wanna just give them the benefit of the doubt look the other way. Im so much happier in my new position.

The ARC is a awesome agency of what I have experienced in my week of orientation. Staff is very friendly and work as a team to assist you with fulfilling your job duties. I am glad that I have the opportunity of being a part of the ARC family.

The Arc accepts car donations. They tell you to leave the buyer section of the title blank. This is not a legitimate way to deal with transfers. Legitimate charitable organizations have their name put in the buyer section. Where are these cars going
