Id highly recommend Texas Nutrition Consultants - and I have two friends have since started sessions with Danielle. Ive been meeting with Danielle Kuhn for a few months now for support with issues Ive been struggling with for years. The progress and improvements that Danielle has helped me to make have been huge. She is very knowledgeable and really pleasant easy to talk to. She hones into what you need and listens to what you want to work on helps set goals and gives you the tools info you need. They make it really easy to start and schedule sessions. Their office manager Brenda is really helpful and super responsive.

All of the staff that Ive interacted with have been very friendly and helpful Furthermore I REALLY appreciate Danielles approach to weight loss. She has really helped me to develop a healthier relationship with food by taking time to talk with me an understand my personal challenges both health related and tied to food psychologygeneral behavioral problems. I would strongly recommend working with TNC 65 stars for sure

The dieticians at Texas Nutrition Consultants gave me the support and knowledge I needed to lose a significant amount of weight and to maintain that weight lose for the past 7 years and counting. I learned how to eat well instead of dieting taking the emphasis away from the scale and onto the plate. The weight loss was the result of healthy eating habits that are still with me today. Choosing Texas Nutrition Consultants has been a life changing experience and I am forever grateful to Shelley and all of her staff for their support throughout my journey

Texas Nutrition ConsultantsI was referred to Texas Nutrition Consultants by my primary care doctor. They were pretty quick to set me up with an appointment. I unfortunately missed my first appointment due to an underlying disability. They were nice enough to waive the fee.The trouble started when I was finally going over their patient contract. I called in with some questions and spoke with the office manager Brenda. I explained to her my situation and asked if they would be willing to make an exception. She said that usually is no problem but that they would not add an addendum to the contract stating that. She stated the reason was they dont want patients to abuse it. Which is fair. On my end for confirmation I wanted to speak to the clinic owner. She unfortunately was out of town but she would pass my message along and have her call me at her earliest convenience. I had another appointment scheduled for later in the week. I went ahead and canceled it. Giving the reason that I want everything to be understood before I start their services. This cancellation was more than 24 hrs prior to the appointment. In the meantime I sent over my insurance information. So I went ahead and emailed Brenda my insurance info. I currently have a hybrid Humana plane through medicare and medicaid. Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans D-SNPs. Brenda responded that from their experience that my plan would not cover the treatment I was seeking. So I went ahead and contacted Humana. They sent me a letter stating coverage of services. I forwarded that to Brenda.Foreword about 2 weeks later. Shelley Madesen the owner gave me a call. I go over things with her. She then starts off by saying that I had already missed 2 appointments. That normally they would only waive 1. I explained 910 clinics are willing to work with me. I explained I dont usually miss my appointment. That truthfully in the past few years I have maybe only missed a handful. Then there was the issue with my insurance. Shelley believed that my insurance would not cover the appointments. That based on her so many years of experience she knew they wouldnt. That medicaid would not cover certain treatments. I tried to explain that it is not just a medicaid plan that Humana would be the one to run the claim through. I even suggested lets see how the first billing goes and go from there. She said no in this case I would have to pay for my appointments up front and told her I could not afford to do that. She said that she is running a business. I told her I would hope that you are in the business of patient services. I told her straight forward if you dont want me to be a patient please let me know. She rebutted that was not the case but that she didnt think it would work out. This next piece is all my opinion from my 15 years experience dealing with clinicsI feel I upset both Brenda and Shelley that I had issues with the contract. That I asked for some leniency. I feel when I asked Brenda if I could speak to the ownerShelley that I may have offended her. When I finally got the chance to speak to Shelley I could feel there was already tension I could be wrong. Overall I am surprised by the attitude that I perceived from Texas Nutrition Consultants. It feels that the Business comes first patient care and compassion comes second. And if you have anything you are dealing with outside their ordinary Complicated Insurance Disability or question their practices. They made me feel that it is too much trouble for them.

Have had two appointments with Carla so far after being diagnosed with Celiac disease and both have been invaluable. 1 hr long sessions to get all your questions answered and personalized diet recommendations. After she looked through my food log for past days she spotted problem areas both times. The sessions feel so at ease and could honestly double for therapy. I feel so much less stressed being equipped diet knowledge.

If I could give this office more stars I would The dieticians are amazing and very informative. Brenda the office manager goes above and beyond EVERY time. She is ALWAYS pleasant and professional over the phone in-person and by email. I have had to reschedule appointments countless times and Brenda ALWAYS responds very promptly and will take the extra step and say have a great dayweekend with a smile on her face. Never a hint of frustration with me. I wish every office manager I came in contact with was as informative quick and pleasant as she has always been.Samantha the most recent dietician I have seen for the past four months has literally saved my life. She is extremely informative focuses on my specific needs and encourages me to forgive myself when I fall off plan. Very sweet personality and makes sure any questions I have are answered before walking out the door. This office helped me get through gestational diabetes 5 years ago and now are helping me in the bariatric surgery process which Im not even convinced I need anymore. From my highest weight I have lost 35 pounds my liver function tests are back to normal I was able to get off one of my blood pressure meds and my A1C is not even pre-diabetic stage.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS OFFICE
