Tejal Kaur, MD

I’m Tejal, a psychiatrist and social entrepreneur based in NYC. I’m deeply passionate about improving access to care, destigmatizing mental health, and creating structures and programs that encourage engagement with mental health. I founded and continue to direct graymatters medical practice, an innovative mental health private practice that delivers high quality treatment, in the context of a social justice framework. In my practice, not only do we prioritize our clients, but we highly prioritize our clinicians, because the ability to deliver high quality care depends so strongly on the health, mindset and training of the clinician. I help my staff clinicians and students to develop their interests and niche and guide them toward leadership positions, and do so within an extremely supportive, respectful practice.
