Introduction

Hi! I’m Taylor Herrera, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for helping children become confident, effective communicators. I earned my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Baylor University and have experience across schools, clinics, early intervention, home health, and acute care settings. My approach to therapy is child-led, play-based, and focused on functional skills that carry over into everyday life. I believe therapy should be engaging, individualized, and meaningful for each individual. I look forward to partnering with your family to help your loved one grow, connect, and communicate with confidence!

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Compassionate
Dedicated
Creative
Three words I would use to describe myself are compassionate, dedicated, and creative. I am compassionate in the way I approach each individual and family, taking the time to understand their unique needs, strengths, and goals. I am dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized therapy that helps my clients make meaningful progress in their everyday lives. I am also creative, especially when it comes to making therapy engaging, functional, and fun. I enjoy finding new ways to connect with each client and create an environment where they feel supported, confident, and excited to communicate.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I am best positioned to serve individuals of all ages with communication and feeding needs, with particular expertise in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I specialize in supporting individuals with complex communication needs and have experience working with gestalt language processors using individualized, neurodiversity-affirming approaches. I also treat language and articulation disorders across the lifespan. My feeding therapy services address oral-motor skills, chewing, texture transitions, limited food variety, and functional mealtime skills. I value collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals to promote meaningful progress across environments. For needs requiring specialized care outside my expertise, I prioritize connecting families with the appropriate provider.

    Beaming Review

Taylor is a wonderful person! She's positive, professional, and a real go-getter with the kids she works with. I was so impressed with how much she knows and what a pleasure she is to work with. I would absolutely refer patients and family members to her!
