Talisman Therapeutic Riding (TTR), Inc.

Talisman Therapeutic Riding began in 2012 on a leased farm with one horse and one rider. Many milestones later, we now serve over 175 riders each year using twelve therapy horses on a farm the charity acquired in 2017. Founder Anne L. Joyner, serves on the Board of Directors. Talisman offers specialized programs year-round, six days a week. All instructors are PATH International Certified Trained Instructors. Therapists are Maryland Licensed. We are small on staff and BIG ON VOLUNTEERISM. Volunteers are always needed and training is offered twice a month. Talisman Therapeutic Riding is a PATH International center member, a Maryland Horse Discovery Center, the Upper Shore Equestrian Training Center for Maryland Special Olympics, a registered, licensed horse stable with the Department of Agriculture, Maryland Horse Industry Board, member of the Maryland Council of Equine Therapies (MCET), member of the American Hippotherapy Association, member of the Queen Anne’s Chamber of Commerce and in good standing with the State of Maryland. Talisman Therapeutic Riding is a 501c3 non-profit.
