About Supportive Community Innovations - Bedford

Since 2016, Supportive Community Innovations has been dedicated to helping individuals and families thrive. By tailoring our approach to each person’s unique needs, we provide meaningful care and support across a variety of settings.

Today, with several office locations, we serve more than 150 people of all ages throughout Central and Southern Indiana. Our services include ABA therapy, mental health counseling, Medicaid waiver–funded programs (such as Behavior Support, Participant Assistance and Care [PAC], and Recreation Therapy).

As our community grows, so do our services. We are continually exploring new and innovative ways to advance the interests and potential of those we serve, ensuring that every person we work with feels seen, supported, and empowered.

Founding Story

Supportive Community Innovations (SCI) was founded in 2016 by Fritz Kruggel with a vision to provide a more holistic range of evidence-based, trauma-informed services. His goal was to ensure individuals could access the support they need, in the environments where they feel most comfortable and empowered. With nearly 30 years of experience working with children and adults across diverse roles and settings, Fritz brings deep expertise to his work. He holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Indiana University, completed advanced training in Behavior Analysis at Southern Illinois University, is a Licensed Behavior Analyst and has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2011. Fritz has also contributed to the field through presentations on topics such as treatment fidelity and ethics for organizations including the Indiana Association of Behavior Consultants, the Hoosier Association of Behavior Analysis, and the Association of Behavior Analysis International. In his personal time, Fritz enjoys spending time with family, hiking, kayaking, cooking and building things with natural materials.
