Steven M Lovitt, MD

Dr. Steven Lovitt completed his Neurology residency at Baylor College of Medicine, then a 2 year Fellowship in Neuromuscular Disease. He has extensive experience not only in General Neurology but also in Neuromuscular Disease. He performs EMG studies with nerve conduction studies and also performs and interprets muscle and nerve biopsies. He served as the Co-Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic and the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Clinic when he taught at the medical school in San Antonio, Texas. He has practiced with The Neurology Center since 2003. He was selected to serve on the committee tasked by the United Council for Neurologic Sub-specialties who is responsible for writing the national examination required for licensure in Clinical Neuromuscular Pathology.
