Primarily provide advice and representation to families of children with special needs and learning differences in New York. Assist parents in their efforts to make their school districts and early intervention programs provide their children with appropriate educational and related services. Appropriate educational and related services often include, but are not limited to, placements in general education programs with support, placements in private special education schools, tutoring, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, counseling, and transportation to and from school. Also assist parents in their efforts to make their school districts accommodate the learning differences of their children.
