If I could give 0 stars I would I worked there two years without so much as one call-off never late and they could careless. Management is very unprofessional and messy until they need you to work extra hours. Not to mention the manager was biased because her sister works under the roof shes suppose to be managing. When you speak up about what is going on to management on your shift nothing gets done. Due to management not having any discretion what is said behind closed doors tend to makes its rounds to the other employees and then you become labeled a as a problematic worker. Staff have two faces and will lie and report you they are like sponges Absorbed everything then squeezes everything out to the next person. The care of Clients does not seem to be a priority to management rather the upkeep of the clients house is. Some employees are allowed to sleep for hours at a time when they are suppose to be documenting every hour but they will falsely document starting at 1am up to 9am stating they have done bed checks. A resident could be dead for six hours and you wouldnt know until 9am. Staff are training to falsely document that the residents are out in the community or actually doing goals in the house so the company receives the funding. The clients are to be showered on a regular bases but its never consistent. Staff complains and dont last longer than 9months. There seems to be a lack of food and supplies to meet the clients day to day needs. Staff steals cleaning supplies food hygiene supplies when you bring the attention to HR they blows it off with a smile. Some clients who are known to be physically and verbally abusive towards the staff and get disciplined with restrictions to tvcoffee or anything the resistant enjoys the residents that can speak or communicate are better taken care of. When in training they tell you we are a guest in their home not they are a guest in yours. Speaking of training they will pass your med tech CPR training with flying colors without being comfortable Rushing the entire class leaving staff with unanswered questions.Never the less management will remove the employee rather than trying to correct the behavior. Getting in contact with the Human Resource Department seems futile as well because they too dont bother to follow up. Management deletes incident reports so DDA wont investigate. If DDA knew half the things that happen then Star would be shut down. As an employee I went above and beyond when it came to my residents I valued respected and appreciated being able to make a difference in their lives as they did mines. During my time I built a great rapport with my residents and was able to see their growth as individuals due in part to the fact that they knew that I genuinely cared and took my time with them they learned to trust my judgement and responded very well to me. For me it was never about money however only treating people with human kindness and decency. I would apply to receive the med tech CPR certification to utilize at another facility that has better communication. Other than that I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. Go to the Arc

Iv worked at star almost 7 yrs Full time as a direct caregiver at one of the larger group homes. I can honestly say the staff is great and individuals are amazing we serve. I love the individuals like they are my own family and treat them as such. You have to ask yourself a question not what my job can do for me but what I can do for my job Expect to work long hrs weekends and emergencies. But its worth seeing the individuals and serving them unselfishly everyday to put a smile on there face and know at the end of the day. Wow iv made a real impact and differences in there day and life. Also Great Greenhouse great Equestrian center and great Events especially Christmas Tree lighting a must see Event for all.

I have 20 years equestrian experiences and I am deaf. I own a horse and I rode some multi-discipline riding styles. Right now focusing on Dressage 1st level. I have heard couple of deaf friends who admire me and tried to apply as volunteer job in here. Ended up Star Community Horse Center discriminate against normal deaf people. It makes me angry. I find it how irony that they do serve deafdisabled clients but not deaf volunteer. That makes me wonder what kind of bad experience do they have with a deaf person or not enough exposure with diversity of people Just FYI to everybody
