Took my daughter to the ER. The people checking you in were nice. We had a nice nurse and doctor. Those are the good points. The bad is that the hospital is one of the dirtiest places Ive seen. Im not sure how they are allowed to be this dirty. This was at 8 am. The floors looked like they had never been cleaned. The bed she was on had dried up vomit all down the side of it. I had taken my older children here years ago and it wasnt like this. We did what we needed to do there and left. This hospital will be one that we never go to again Childrens is much cleaner.

My nephew has a genetic disorder and spends a lot of time there. This hospital has a lot of great doctors and staff. However every year the level of care has gone down tremendously. Its so scary. Because his mom is his main caregiver she knows a lot about his care including his trach care thankfully otherwise Im not sure if he would be with us today. Because of Covid most of the experienced nurses have left and theres first year nurses doing a lot of the care. They think they know a lot but I have a daughter that is a nurse and you do not know a whole lot from nursing school. Its learning from job experience. Another issue is Cardinal Glennon is a teaching hospital so all the residents are in charge of the patient care. I can tell you from experience there isnt a lot of communication between residents and doctors normally. Plus there is the experience they have to gain to be an actual doctor and most are way to confident in their opinions. They know hardly anything. Im not saying there isnt anything good about the hospital but do be careful and be very involved and question everything.

Im so tired of this hospital. They barely keep it clean inside . Not sanitizing anything . The nurses and doctors arent very knowledgeable. They dont have the best attitudes they dont look friendly at front desk. They coming up with new policies every time you come . Why wouldnt mom dad be able to go back together bc we have an extra kid with us. They need to open new hospitals for kids .

Lacks diversity. With St. Louis being 43 black youd think theyd care for diversity and representation for all but they do not hire black nurses. Did an interview on day shift met at least 30 nurses. All white. Shame on nurse managers at Cardinal Glennon.

My 10 day old baby had RSV. The TCU took very good care of us. We had amazing nurses Shout out to Matt who were very informative. Always asking if we needed anything. Even got us some food once. It was an all around good experience. I felt very comfortable with my newborn baby in their hands.

We have been regulars at Cardinal Glennon in 2016. My daughter has stayed at every part of that hospital besides the NICU. She has been seen by many different departments. I can say all and all it is an excellent hospital with excellent staff. I feel every time we go there my daughter is treated as if she is priority number one. I would recommend this place to anyone needing to take their child to a hospital.

My family suffered a tragic loss in a horrific car crash. My 10-year old niece was killed and her 8-year old brother and two other young boys were flown by helicopter to Cardinal Glennon with very serious injuries. The driver of the car was taken to SLU. Because of the circumstances and the number of children injured there were about 15-20 people in the hospital waiting room mid-day on a Monday. After suffering such a horrific loss and being extremely concerned about the other children the ER charge nurse told security our party was too large and would need to wait outside - even though there were plenty of seats in the waiting room. My family members reeling from the days trauma tried to reason with him to let us stay and he was rude and treated us all terribly. I was absolutely appalled at the lack of compassion and the extreme rudeness. The medical staff were great but the people dealing with us were absolutely terrible. Id never recommend Cardinal Glennon to anyone because of it. Ive never been treated like that at any hospital Ive ever been to.

I boasted about this hospital for so many years...the care and compassion we received each visit...so many nice employees but sadly the tone has changed drastically. Rarely any friendly smiling staff Everyone looks as if they HATE their jobs. HORRIBLE ATTITUDES in front entrance and most check in windows. The hospital has changed.....Most families that go here have medically fragile children...we all deserve better experiences here

My recent experience at SSM Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospitals Emergency Room was extremely disappointing. I had to bring my son in due to acute breathing issues and the level of care we received was far from satisfactory.Firstly upon my sons arrival by ambulance I was denied access to him leaving me feeling helpless during a medical emergency. Throughout our stay there was a severe lack of communication regarding my sons condition and treatment plan which added to our stress and confusion. The staffs attitudes were concerning with instances of unprofessional behavior and a notable lack of empathy. The charge nurse displayed exceptionally rude behavior further worsening our experience.I repeatedly requested copies of signed documents but never received them which impacted my ability to make informed decisions about my sons care. Additionally there was a severe lack of coordination in medical information with redundant questioning and crucial information not being documented.A particularly inappropriate comment was made by an RN about the hospitals demographic focus which raised concerns about equitable care.Lastly the staff neglected to assist with medication administration instead asking my non-verbal child to hold an oxygen mask which was both unsafe and inappropriate given the urgency of the situation.Overall my experience at SSM Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospitals ER was marred by poor communication unprofessional behavior and a lack of attention to critical details. I hope the hospital takes these concerns seriously to ensure better care for future patients and their families.

They have taken her from legally blind to her vision is perfect besides the slight lazy eye We love them The dr in training not sure correct terminology guy we saw yesterday was awesome He put a sticker on his nose for my daughter to look at and almost walked out without raking it off hehe. The ladies there are all great too So sweet My daughter was really scared of the dilation drops but the lady made it so quick and painless that it was no big deal
