Founding Story
He went to undergrad at The Ohio State University. He always, from his youth, wanted to work with children and decided to become a pediatric dentist. He attended dental school at Case Western Reserve University. After dental school he served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969. Dr. Spitz was hired as the director of the Pediatric Dentistry graduate program at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Oakland. He started his own practice in the Mission District of San Francisco in 1975 and has served Bay Area patients ever since. In 1985, Dr. Spitz opened the current office in San Mateo where he has practiced for over 30 years.
