I cant rate the therapy because I cant get my grandson in the front door. He was covered under UHC community plan and the referral was sent in when he was 2. We waited 7 months and still didnt have an appointment. He was assigned a therapist but by this time his UHC had lapsed for a month because it was transferred to being under our name as his guardians. We also obtained coverage for him under our Aetna plan in the interim. We got a new referral from the pediatrician. He had been dropped off the wait list. He was put back on the top of wait list and they asked about insurance and I told them he had both at present. Now were being told that the owner does not take private insurance They offered other outside options like Easter Seals been there already. They kept asking if Id private pay not an option. This child has no child support payments coming in for his care. Im not sure whose the primary payer but guessing its Aetna and with 2 plans he still cannot be seen there. I guess its all about where the money comes from. If he had Medicaid alone he could be seen. I guess well wait till hes 3 in Nov.and get it through the school system.
