We started with Speech in the City in 2022 when we were rejected for EI services through the city. We went to Rebecca to get an evaluation and she was unbelievably helpful. She talked us through all the possible causes for our then 2-year olds speech delay and didnt rush to a diagnosis. Instead she laid out a plan of action and helped guide us through insurance reimbursements EI evaluations and how to support our son through therapy and at-home exercises. To say he made an improvement in the 6 months we spent with Rebecca is an understatement. He flourished and looked forward to seeing Rebecca every week. We saw other staff members in our time and he loved all of them equally.By the end of our sessions we were finally approved for EI and had made significant progress. Her team used a variety of approaches to help our son build muscles he needed for speech - and a previous issue with low muscle tone in his face was getting better. Rebecca also helped us with learning the language of speech issues so that we could better articulate our sons issues and advocate for him. We felt empowered as parents.I found her through the Upper East Side Mommas Facebook group and the Manhattan Special Kids Facebook group. There is a reason she and her team are recommended everywhere. They are truly the best. Now my son is 4 and has had many speech therapists through the city but the time we spent laying a foundation with Speech in the City was essential to our success. While success looks different for every child Rebecca and her team really helped us set goals and we have far exceeded them.If you are on the fence and especially if the city has denied you and you need help to navigate speech support dont wait Going to speech in the City was the single best decision we made as parents in the first 4 years of our sons life. We went from fearing the unknown to looking forward to watching him become the sweet smart and expressive boy he is today and always was even if he couldnt find his words back then.

I cant say enough good things about this place. My son owes all of his speech progress to Liz. She has guided him flawlessly for the past 2 years into the verbose friendly kid he is today. Shout out to Rebecca too whose leadership is ever present even though my son did not have treatment from her. The best team. So happy we found you.

It is very hard to find a Speech therapist in Manhattan let alone one thats affordable. Finding Speech in the City was when I struck gold Rebecca took the time to get to know me and my child and was very patient and accommodating. She went above and beyond. I had the pleasure of working with Rebecca Elizabeth and Jessica and my child loved each one of them. My son has improved so much from when he started he is now able to communicate his wants and needs. He shares a special bond with Jessica and works wonderfully with her. She was a perfect match for him Sadly we are moving and will no long be able to work with them... But I cant express my gratitude enough to Rebecca for being helpful flexible and very accommodating especially financially. She has shown that its not all about the money and she genuinely cares about the development of the child We will surely miss them esp Jessica If you are considering using Speech in the City do it Dont even think about it. Trust me it is definitely worth every penny of your time and theirs

BEST practice in NYC hands down. I worked at SITC for 1 year right before moving back to Chicago. Rebecca taught me everything I needed to know regarding PROMPT therapy Myofunctional therapy and feedingswallowing disorders. Rebecca and all the other clinicians at the practice are knowledgable caring and truly want what is best for their clients. Cannot recommend this practice enough

Rebecca and her staff were very knowledgeable and supportive during our time with the practice. They identified a tongue tie which was causing a sleep issue as well as a feeding and speech issue. With their support and therapy she is doing so much better and is a little chatterbox.

Rebecca is an extremely intelligent and motivated SLP who puts your childs needs first. Speaking from my own experience I am a SLP graduate student and was in search of a pediatric placement in March amidst the pandemic. Rebecca took me under her wing and helped me grow immensely as a clinician. I have learned so much and I am forever grateful for the experience. Rebecca served as a great role model for the type of clinician I want to be. She is knowledgeable highly motivated active within the field and is always staying up to date with current research and treatment methods. She is PROMPT certified has her ATP certification and is going back to school to become a vision therapist. What more could you ask for If you want a speech-language pathologist who genuinely cares about your child and will do whatever it takes to help them with their goals you have found the right place.
