As a business and family we reach into the lives of those who have special needs and as we have done this we realize how we need those who are special.Stop and enjoy the Park Read the plaques. Make a donation. Be involved. The monument park needs some repairs but it is a worth while stop.Just another great attribute of the city of Normal

Ive volunteered here once and know a few people from this location and I love what they do and stand for but the culture of this place is toxic. There is little community engagement letting people know that the headquarters for Illinois is right here in Normal. I know that its a non-profit but there seems only to be letters and emails asking for money to the National Special Olympics rather than Illinois specifically. As we move forward with cultural diversity this is a place that tends not to diversify beyond older white males in place of management. This could be a reason of stagnation of growth with their events and community outreach beyond the inner circle.
