Im writing this in the hopes that it helps someone else. I called today not too long ago looking to reestablish care. I have not been here in multiple years. I am not in crisis however things have been exceptionally tough lately and I have not had the time and space to address it. I took the day off work today and called this facility to set up an appointment. The receptionist that answered my call was careless and dismissive. She didnt tell me her name but she sounded quite young. When she told me there were no appointments today I understood and I asked about their 24 hour services and how I could get set up with anything today. They told me their crisis center is 24 hours and that I can just show up there. I was not given an address a number to call or even just one ounce of compassion or empathy. I do not leave reviews like this literally EVER but I have genuinely never been so let down by someone who is supposed to be a healthcare professional. I dont currently consider what I am going through a crisis but I hung the phone up and cried. I cant imagine how someone who wasnt doing as well as me would take that treatment. Hoping that this is a wake up moment for you.

The front desk ladies are okay. They do their job and seem pretty serious all the time so it doesnt always feel super welcoming. However the guy that checks you in for your appointment always puts a smile on my daughters face and mine. He has a deep soft spot for kids and it shows. He knows us by name now and it feels very personal when he is working. My daughter goes to PCIT which lately has been soooooooo frustrating because their equipment hasnt been working and so I havent been able to level up and have apparently been confused by the rules. I really LOVE my therapist though She is super easy to talk to and gives great advice and excercises you can do. I love that it feels very goal oriented here. When you first go it seems a little rediculous because it feels like you are jumping through hoops but really they are just trying to match you up with who they think you would be best for. I am glad I ended up here so far.

Excellent place Doc Riccardo is a good doctor and a great human being. He has helped my mother with her mental health. He is always willing to help his patients. Speaking Spanish also helps you feel comfortable. He is a great help to the community.

My experience at SMH has been absolutely amazing. Since day one Ricardo has made me feel heard seen holds me accountable and most importantly has great quality of care. Mental health is important and the quality of care we are given is just as important. Also I missed an appointment due to work travel and I was explained the importance of not missing appointments or planning ahead. I did not feel ashamed attacked or in trouble for she was embracing and provided me with solutions that I didnt know were available until I spoke with her. She gave me grace and I left feeling very thankful for where I choose to go to for care. Thank you SMH

Good docs and therapists. Wait times for some docs and counselors are slightly longer. One thing I dont like is the way they schedule apt. They give you a certain week and you have to call them to schedule.

Different forms of therapy are being eliminated for adults on Medicare. SUCH As Art Therapy equestrian therapy to name a few. SMHC still list them as services. Yet will only provide for youth. This was my last Art Therapy appointment. Thanks Medicare for taking a proven method away.
