About Sierra School of Alhambra
Sierra School of Alhambra stresses the development of internal controls and personal responsibility for one’s behavior. Normalcy is expected; competency is stressed. Teachers strive to become trusted people whose guidance, limit setting and criticism are eventually seen as nurturing, helpful and supportive. Andrea Vargas, President
Founding Story
Andrea joined SESI in July 2004 and, as president, is responsible for the growth and development of SESI’s special education and alternative education programs. Andrea previously served as SESI’s chief financial officer (CFO), controller, chief accounting officer, and vice president of finance. Andrea earned her Master of Business Administration with a focus in Accounting/Management and her Master of Education with a focus on Special Education from the University of Hartford and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant College.
