A very warm welcome its just the beginning of this immaculately clean Athletic Facility. It is filled with many warm and professional people that staff this great complex. Ive been in gyms and fitness centers all over the world and this place is beautiful because its so clean. It has much to offer families and little ones. It has a nice size gym for those who like that kind of exercise. It has a magnificent pool with lifeguards and a warmer pool for older people and its bright filled with sunlight. The locker rooms are spotless. Theres even coffee for the morning and a place to lounge and relax and just sit back and relax. It would be great if every community could have something like this but unfortunately thats not the case. I highly recommend this institution to the people of Tarrytown and neighboring places. I had an excellent tour and Im going to become a member because I see the due diligence. That is most important. Its the workers that make a facility great not just the facility on its own. This well-run complex is a winner. If youre looking for some serenity in a peaceful family environment this place is highly recommended.

The best community around Offering amazing fitness programs to learning artistic and spiritual opportunities. The staff warm open fun and hard-working......2021.......things have inevitably changed per the pandemic. The staff remains amazing and hardworking. Follow up And here it is 2022 almost 2023 - better than ever So many opportunities for all. Thank you hardworking JCC leadership team facilities and all teachers and coaches.

My happy place The JCC is a wonderful respite from the daily grind. A positive clean supportive environment where the focus is on wellness and personal empowerment. Theres a strong sense of community here too and Ive made many friends along the way. I highly recommend it

So I was given a pass waiver from the sleepy hollow hotel to attend this place because the pool was closed due to it only being open for Jewish men during my stay. So I took my pass and went here. While I was here I gave them my pass and was told that it was only good for me and not my three children. I was then told that I need to pay for my kids and sign paperwork. So I did that and then when I gave my paperwork the woman at the desk told me that I had to pay for hair caps to even get into the pool. If they would have told me that I would have to pay all of this before signing anything then Id be okay. But I ended up walking out because they wasted my time. And mind you I had called before even going into the building. They could have saved me so much time and effort by letting me know over the phone. So no I do not recommend this place. Very unprofessional and rude. I was given an attitude by the stubby looking woman wearing the glasses.

The Shames JCC is making a very concerted considerate effort to keep most operations and programs going during this challenging COVID-19 period. Staff members have shown great patience and dedication and building maintenance has been dealt with remarkably well.

The facility is great. I thought it was supposed to a community center with trust and respect for the community. However my bag was stolen out of a locker and the staff doesnt seem to interested in trying to help find out what happened. Im not asking them to replace anything I understand they are not responsible. However there is someone in the community who feels comfortable going into lockers and taking what is not theirs. This bag had all my swimming gear as I am training for boot camp for the USCG. Its a violating feeling.

update to this reviewI am satisfied that upon discussions with Rabbi Ergas my case has been finally heard and the correct actions have been taken to rectify the situation. The individual who caused the damage to my auto has been permanently denied access to the facilities at the JCC.The harsh reality that such individuals exist is disheartening. I am hopeful that this unfortunate instance will be the only of its kind and that both the safety of our property and person will be the number one priority.For an institution that prides itself on the safety of its patrons I am fairly disappointed by the manner in which an event developed on the premises.In Aug. 2018 my vehicle was vandalized by one of the patrons of the gym. Ive never met this individual or had any interaction with her. Thankfully the incident was caught on the video surveillance. She has been arrested and charged and I have requested the courts issue an order of protection. Throughout this ordeal the JCC echelon has been informed of all that transpired. Nothing has been done so far regarding this. The perpetrator is still allowed to frequent the gym even when I am presently there despite the fact that I provided them with a copy of the court order.I have respectfully requested this individual be denied access to the facility. I have yet to hear from anyone on this matter. It is disheartening to know a system meant to protect the rights of the victim allows for the opposite to happen. ...this 5 star rating is for the JCC staff from John Kerrie Karen Adrian Danny the manager to the cleaningmaintenance crew who are always helpful and pleasant to interact with on a daily basis.Thank you all

Just went to pick up our key fobs and have our photos taken. Well have to find out where to go whem we arrive for the first day of camp this coming Thursday. The new J is squeaky clean and brightly lit with lots of windows and high ceilings. The fitness center gym and pool are up and running. The cycling room looks ready for workouts but light was off so not sure. The gym has the ability to lower a lot of the basketball hoops for younger players. The pool looks terrific and the locker rooms have nicely sized showers and a sauna. They provide towels. You must wear a swimming cap no matter ow.much hair you have or dont have dont love that but understand it. They dont have any spaces to sit and have a snack youve brought with you so sit outside on the grass or on one of the few picnic tables.

This JCCs vastly expanded facility is brand-new and the initial glow may wear off at some point. But from all indications the members and enthusiastic staff are off to a really great start. I especially like the look of the juvenile aquatics program.
