Serenity Behavioral Health Systems - Augusta Behavioral Health Clinic

I was very skeptical after reading reviews but this place has been good to our family with helping our 1 member who really needs assistance. He has a great team at Serenity between medication control peer groups caseworker and physicians. The resources here in GA far out weigh the resources we had in FL. We just wish they werent so far away from where we live. So with that I say so far so good.

Nice organized office I just didnt like that they took too long to see me for my appointment but hey what doctor doesnt right But other than that great customer service and good energy from staff.

pretty sure Mark is an actual angel. i went back and forth with him on the phone for hours yesterday trying to make sure my boyfriend could get a bed there because im over an hour away. he was super understanding and helpful and patient. bf was too drunk and had to get medically cleared by hospital first. Mark could tell how frustrated i was and took me to the side and made sure i was okay and helped me work through the best course of action. he told me exactly what to tell the ER so that bf would get transferred back to their facility after medical clearance. Mark called me this morning to check on me and bf and told me to take care of myself. he made the past 24 hours so much easier for me and i am beyond thankful. these are the kind of people that need to work in healthcare especially behavioral health facilities. he was kind patient understanding and he truly kept me sane during an awful day and a hard situation. plz give this man a raise and a gold star.

My mom was in transferred to Serenity Hospital after having gallbladder surgery. Since day one she was on the decline at this facility. she went there for rehab purposes but ended up with tubes up her nose having no idea where she was or what was going on. every other day she had a new nurse who had no idea at all what was going on with her condition. My father was extremely stressed at the care my mother was receiving. She didnt get better until we had her transferred to University Hospital Piedmont Hospital of Augusta. Please dont leave your family members at this facility.

im writing this review after hearing my friends rather disturbing experience at this practice. One of the nurses accused them of faking their drug test and continued to question them. After my friend said they didnt want to hear what their weight was the nurse continued to say how they were super under weight and needed to do better. Then the psychiatrist Dr.Musalime questioned how honest they were being about their past with DCFS and claimed that what they experienced couldnt be true because thats not how the system works. She suggested for them to start four different categories of medications rather than treating what their main concern was. After my friend told her they were not comfortable starting those medicines besides the one they were needing she refused to schedule them another appointment as well as help them unless they started those four medications.

It was ok. Everyone was REALLY nice except this one lady. She is white old and she has a hunchback. She was in building A. I admitted myself because I have been having suicidal thoughts it was going good at first and she brought up putting me into a hospital I cannot afford going to this hospital and she mentioned that there are no more beds avaible for me and to come back tomorrow I told her I have work that day and cannot afford to miss days otherwise I will. I was trying to see what other options I have but she just flat out told me well you dont need to be here then. What nurse tells a suicidal patience that they dont need to be here because they cant afford it. Damn at least let me down gently I did however get to talk to a man I think he was a counselor he got me to calm down and Im feeling much better. Whoever that lady is NEEDS TO BE FIRED. She brought up payment methods MULITPLE TIMES throughout the whole conversation instead of being a comforting person.

Treatment has been stellar My previous doctors and clinic would view me as a number more than a patient. Excellent staff all the way through the building. One Doctor in particular helped me with a civil case involving my child and even though things may have not turned in my favor this clinic treated me with respect and kindness. Helped in my medicine to reduce my stress levels and treatment plans to put my goals in reach.

Avoid this organization. The doctors are unethical butchers they experiment with the patients if family advocates for the consumer and push back they go around the advocate. The goal is to send as many people to AU and experiment with shock therapy no matter what the diagnosis is.

I take my Aunt who walks with a walker and her son whos autistic. So everytime I take them I park at the door not blocking the entrance to help her get out and get her walker. Today the security guard decides he want to tell me that I couldnt park in front. I tell him that I park here everytime and its never a problem and shes always walking out the door when she sees me pulling up. So im never leave my car to walk in. He says that its a loading zone. Well if a truck comes while shes walking to the car Ill move. So he walks off shaking his head. Im not blocking the entrance Im not just sitting there.....whats the problem

Trying to call schedule an appointment there is terrible. It takes me actual days to schedule one I have a delayed sleep schedule because I dont know whether these people are busy or not. I cant call at or after 8 because they got there I cant call at or after 3 because they left. And even when I do get to talk to someone I have to be put on hold for a long time. Dont even get me started on when I see their voicemails by the time its after 3 so I cant call them back. Its like Im playing phone tag with everyone but its not a game because my mental health is on the line. The only thing that redeems this place is my counselor and doctor.
