Such a great experience Ive tried to pick up surfing alone and with friends but couldnt quite get it. 1 lesson with Connor and I was standing on the board and shredding thanks to his tips and great feedback Life bucket list item checked Great price wetsuit board included Really nice staff and my teacher was really great and encouraging Highly recommend.

Had a great experience for a first surfing lesson for my teenage daughter and myself Cyrus was patient encouraging and made sure we had a positive experience. I would definitely go again

We had a great experience with these guys. We took 2 private lessons. The girl at the shop was helpful and friendly and the instructors were great at getting my kids up and surfing. Only thing is my kids were too cold to stay in the water more than half the lesson. The wetsuits they supplied were pretty thin and worn out for a March surf session so if you have your own thicker wetsuits to wear I would recommend that. We will take another lesson with them in the warmer months

We had a really fun group lesson with San Diego Surf school. Our two families were visiting San Diego and booked a lesson for 11 of us ages 9 to 47. Everyone had a lot of fun. Our three instructors made sure everyone got to ride some waves and they worked super hard to make sure we all had a great time. They supplied wetsuits which enabled us to stay in for over an hour even though the water was only 58. Highly recommend

I was visiting family in San Diego and I am a somewhat experienced surfer from the East Coast and wanted to go surfing. I booked a lesson with San Diego surf school and they were great Easy to get to lesson included a 7 foam board and wetsuit and my instructor Tate was awesome I always like to book a lesson in a new spot if I dont have friends to surf with. My instructor was very good at orienting me to the site and helping me get into the right place to catch a wave once we were in the water. I would highly recommend this school

First time surfing in my life already standing up on the board and had some nice waves. The instructors were very friendly and helped a lot I really recommend this experience

We had a great experience for a semi-private which ended up being private lesson on 11122023. Myself 24-male and girlfriend 23-female had been surfing a few times before but this was perfect for what we needed. We checked in at the shop got out wetsuits and headed down to the beach. From there San Diego Surf School had a tent set up right at the entrance of the beach and we met our instructor. We got into our wetsuits our boards were there and did a 10 minute lesson about general surfing how to pop up how to hold the board how to safety operate the board in the water etc. From there we spent next 75 minutes going in and out of small waves with the help of our instructor pushing us into the waves and helping pick out the waves. This was fairly beginner surfing so if youre more intermediate or advanced maybe you would want to inform San Diego Surf School in advance. After our time we simple left our wetsuits at the tent location and we were done. Our instructor was a young male very knowledge about surfing and the general San Diego surfing scene. He was nice polite professional and had that California vibe a plus. This was hassle free and overall a great experience. The cost is certainly my justified and quite frankly on par with what Id expect for a surf lesson. Renting wet suits and boards on our own and trying to surf ourselves would not have been worth the money saved Im happy we spent some more money to get the ease of experience. I would do this again no questions asked.

San Diego Surf School has excellent customer service and friendly staff Tanner my instructor was so kind positive and knowledgeable. I was able to stand up even on a choppy day Their photographer Danny was the best and caught great shots and was highly professional.I also rented a bougie board and had a good experience with my rental. It was such a fun time learning to surf with San Diego Surf School. I was visiting San Diego with a few friends and decided to try surfing just for the experience. It was easy booking a time slot online with San Diego Surf School. Their price is quite fair and affordable compared to all other surf schools around. I looked around online before deciding to surf with San Diego Surf School. Most other places were like give us a call or text if you want to book and their prices were unreasonably high for the same surf time. Booking with San Diego Surf School was straightforward online and at a good price for 90 minutes of surfing with a trainer surf suit and surf board included. The surf trainers were well experienced enjoyed liked their job and were very patient understanding and encouraging. Their customer service is excellent as well. Parker at Ocean Beach was incredible I had a blast surfing with San Diego Surf School. It was so fun that I went back for another day at Pacific Beach. It was money well spent on having a wonderful time I had a blast I highly recommend San Diego Surf School if you are ever in San Diego and want to try out surfing. FYI they have two locations one at Ocean Beach and the other at Pacific Beach. I preferred Ocean Beach bigger waves less seaweed less people training cool beach vibe.

Absolutely amazing My daughter had two private lessons with Brooks who she LOvED. She wanted to surf for her birthday. These will be memories she will cherish forever Professional knowledgeable and AMAZING Glad we found them
