Saddle Up is a fantastic place to volunteer at with hands on training with horses and riders with special needs. There are ten horses four of the horses are Norwegian Fjords perfect horses for therapeutic riding. There are special saddles that help individual riders with their needs and physical requirements.Saddle Up also has a physical therapist available for the riders. The siblings of the riders can participate in the art club riders also participate while parents can visit with one another.Saddle Up is coming up on Its 20th Anniversary and is always looking for dedicated volunteers.

My name is Melissa Royer and i am 16 years old. I worked at Saddle Up in the 2012 summer. Saddle up is an amazing place which helps children with downsyndrum and other needs. You get to help put a smile on these kids faces by helping them do something that they cant do all the time because they need someone to be next to them. They enjoy what they are doing and Im proud to say that i worked there. Also in the short time that i was there i gained great respect for the house owner and her horses and property. Everyone that has worked there from years to months are fabulous
