I should have written the review long time ago. My son went to ROWI in Encino for 3 month a year ago. He was going through a very tough time dealing w depression loneliness he was lost and angry and has nowhere to go.Here my family was welcomed w open arms and hearts. They had 2-3 days a week therapy for my son weekly therapy for us as a family were always available to address any questions or concerns. It was very easy to communicate w Tanaz and other therapist. My son felt comfortable and very calm there. My family appreciates everything and having once a month reunion where my son could visit w kids he met there and therapist and enjoy conversation pizza for 1.5 hours without any pay.

They simply do not understand people with autism. I went there and had several breakdowns in the three weeks out of five weeks of the program that I made it through. Had a male psychiatrist that freaked and weirded me out. I literally tried to escape one day and they kicked me out the second time I tried to leave.

Rowi helped to change our sons life. My son was highly misunderstood and never felt like he belonged. He was having extreme issues at his school. They had destroyed his self esteem. Rowi was recommended to us by our individual therapist. When we entered the doors my son felt instantly at ease. He willingly went to PHP and then IOP. He made lasting friends there but more importantly he worked on the skills he needed to be an functional member of society. There he has the pleasure of having Saro as his therapist. My son felt heard for the first time in his life. Saro was remarkable. He took the time to make my son feel special and understood. I could never thank him enough. When the time came where we needed a more structured environment Saro helped choose the appropriate place. Now my son is a peer mentor and truly a regulated kind child. He hopes to one day return to ROWi to help other teens such as himself. You cannot go wrong by picking ROWI for your teen. They really are experts.

Awful. No real physical activity for teens therefore lack of dopamine and endorphins which helps a brain get rid of chemicals that make you feel stressed and anxious. My kid is 200 worse any progress prior to going is gone and my kid cant make any decisions for themselves. Will keep your teen as long as possible or when the insurance stops paying.Lack of privacy.School counselor shared with me that my kids response to questions when returning to school full time felt like...almost brainwashed answers.
