The space is cheery and energetic We worked with the team at YMCARochester as their architect. They were not only very professional but they were also a joy to partner with throughout the entire process.

What a terrible loss. I spent a lot of my younger years there swimming in that great pooland using the gym. Made many friends there. It was great place right up until the end.The building was torn down by the rotten city of Rochester in December of 2023 to build more high priced unaffordable stick housing. The only thing that matters here.

Nice YMCA with some nice equipment. There is a good amount of cardiovascular free weights and machines for the space provided though not a fair amount of room between such items. Locker rooms were rather fairly good but shower areas were certainly dated. Nice pool area and very nice staff. Nothing really special about this YMCA but a good average YMCA with most the amenities one would expect.

We love the Y Our kids love the pool. They are constantly asking to go back. They take reservations not to limit the number of people using the pool at any one time. The system works great

I am selfish so its really hard for me to give this place a great review because I go here and I know if it gets more.people the equipment is going to be more utilized and make it slightly harder for me to do what I want when I want. So the membership is on the website the desk staff is friendly the equipment is fairly well maintained and they have a pool I go here for anywhere from an hour to four hours a day the locker rooms are in decent shape from my experience. They have free weights weight machines and a pool I believe they also have a court upstairs. I enjoy going here as much as I enjoy excersizing anywhere.

I have been a member of the Y for five years. My membership has provided many benefits including being able to use other YMCA facilities. In spite of these benefits I have begun to question continued membership. As of the end of December the Y in Rochester no longer offers ANY fitness classes on Friday afternoons or evenings. Having been a business owner for for 20 years I understand fiscal responsibility. My questions how is it fiscally responsible to lose membership Why arent members allowed some input into decisions Why arent classes offered a fair opportunity before being cut Why are there so few offerings for the working population Why are there NO classes on Friday after noon Why have so many good qualified fitness instructors left PLEASE take a good look at these issues before membership continues to decline.

The fitness center is great with all very new equipment and machines. Kids stuff is amazing My 7-month old loves going there and I feel comfortable leaving him with them. The set-up of the building itself is kind of odd and some parts seem dated and in need updating. But overall we love it

I am faithful member of the YMCA for 6 years. It is a great place with wonderful people of all ages. My toddlers and my in laws can all find something to be involved in there. They have a great pool for families great classes for members of all ages new fitness center swimming lessons and community parties just to name a few of the things. When I joined I did not think I would use my membership that much but I use it almost every day.
