I am so fortunate to be treated by Darren Mallinson at Rise in Oceanside. Due to my aging joints and dysfunctional muscles I have experienced lots of joint and muscle pains for a while. Because of Darrens comprehensive technical knowledge and years of hands on experiences my recovery was amazing. He can find my pain spots without needing me to point them out. He treats me as a whole person not just body parts. His home assignments are simple yet effective.Friendly caring and super knowledgeable in what he is doing Darren is really a gift for his patients. He has this genuine desire to lessen my sufferings and help me achieving full recovery. I am grateful for his help care and my amazing recovery.Thank you Darren. You are truly the very best. Oceanside are caring highly trained and experienced professionals. The one on one physical therapy treatments and exercise I did at R.I.S.E. gave me the stability and range of motion I needed to be a good candidate for Platelet-rich plasma PRP treatments over surgery for a large lateral meniscus tear in my right knee. Each PT session progresses and adapts to my needs to achieve the highest therapeutic effect. Ive had consistent improvement and significant progress since starting PT with R.I.S.E. I am extremely satisfied with the PT treatments I am receiving at RISE. Recommended by my UCSD doctors that treated my serious knee injury with hyaluronic acid and PRP joint injections I experienced more progress in three treatment visits with Darren than I had in series of twelve at two other PT organizations which operate differently than RISE. The difference is the other organizations therapists assign exercises and then leave to circulate and treat other patients sometimes having trainees checking on you. Therefore I especially value RISEs one-on-one sessions as they offer constant consistent interactive personal attention and evaluation. Im also grateful for RISEs whole person approach as Darren has brought relief and healing not only to my knee but to other physical challenges Im currently facing.

I have received PT services for over 40 years due to a myriad of problems that began with a fractured ankle. With continued overuse of joints and body misalignment I continued to be in need of PT. I have had 6 PTs in 4 different states and have worked with PTs in my professional career. I know what to look for. RISE Physical Therapy in Oceanside is exceptional. What sets them apart from other PT offices is their model of only working with a Registered Physical Therapist RPT for the full treatment period. Ive been to other great PTs but they spend 25-30 minutes with a patient then you are handed off to a PT Assistant. Some models even have patients with the PTA only between the evaluation appointments. NOT at RISE At all RISE offices patients are with an RPT for the full time. My latest 2 PT treatment focuses have been around a knee replacement and balance. These are 2 very different treatment plans but both plans incorporate stretching table work exercises to achieve functional activities. I have worked with all the PTs in the office and they are talented profesional caring. My current issue is not straight-forward and my PT is working with me to find all the underlying causes and target them for treatment. My PT doesnt just want me to graduate with basic daily living skills but he cares about the quality of my life and my being able to do more than whats functional. He is working with me toward a more active and rewarding life that is the essence of quality of life. I recommend RISE to anyone wanting to achieve their optimal quality of life.

I have had several PT sessions at Rise Physical Therapy in Oceanside. Thanks to the excellent work that Darren Mallinson has done with me my rotator cuff injury has improved dramatically in a short amount of time. I no longer have to wear Lidocaine Pain Patches throughout the day or night and my range of motion has improved. Darren is patient professional and a true Physical Therapy Expert. I highly recommend his services.

In Dec of 22 Ortho North County had me check into their therapy facility in Vista . When I went there there were a lot of people doing therapy their front desk told me I could not get into that place as it was so booked up until February that I had to go to the Carlsbad facility. I immediately drove to the RISE office on El Camino Blvd where my wife had been previously for her back problems. I was lucky that day to meet and chat with Darren Mallinson this was on a Friday afternoon Darren told me he could get me in on Monday if I had a referral I called my family Dr. Melissa Hurd and she sent the referral that day. I have a badly torn rotator cuff and torn ligaments at the age of almost 83 Darren has proven himself and the RISE company to be the ones you want taking the one on one time to get you back to 100. My orthopedic surgeon has said that at my age surgery is out of the question so Darren has me once or twice a week and has me doing his exercises at home on my days off from the clinic. I am grateful to Darren if something he wants me to do hurts he will switch to something that does not hurt. Darren and the RISE crew in Oceanside are the very best in my opinion for therapy issues.

I started seeing Sean for a reoccurring hamstring injury and right off the bat I was impressed with his knowledge and experience towards helping me through my injury. His sports and strength and conditioning background was a real plus as well in getting me on the road to recovery. He is able to find a wonderful balance in manual therapy work and strength work. Sean is personable professional and an excellent reflection of RISE Physical Therapys team. I highly recommend Sean he is a fantastic PT and has done wonders in helping me get back to my sport.
