I interviewed for a management position in Hendersonville NC. I was told I would receive a callback that day. I was ghosted. I have reached out several times for a response. The hiring manager J. McDaniel in my opinion is unprofessional ghosting me. She represents a company which provides human services. It is sad the way people treat each other with disrespect and they demand your time.

They tell you when you start working at RHA that all the bad reviews online are from disgruntled employees. The reason the employees are disgruntled however is because they work in a combative work environment and witness abuse of clients daily. My home manager held very little confidential and spoke ill of upper management clinical staff and home staff on a daily basis. They make fun of clients and speak ill about them in their presence. There is a terribly unfair distribution of labor. I was on second shift and it was non-stop from the moment I walked in the door cleaning cooking showering clients changing diapers toileting clients taking clients for doctors appointments more cleaning laundry dispensing medications writing progress notes etc and somewhere along the way ideally you spend time doing activities with the clients however the job is not set up to actually do that and the clients are mostly left to watch TV. Between the co-worker conflict and actual work itself it is probably the most stressful job I have ever worked and Ive worked in several very stressful fields. For all your effort you are shown zero appreciation or ever praised for doing anything right other than from clinical staff who praised me often and employees are written up for not doing things that they were never trained on. Speaking of training...the CPR course was a scam...basically watching a movie for 2.5 hours and they threw me into basically this CNA job with 2 days of training and one day of job shadowing. And the pay...well lets just say I would not do it for 20 an hour let alone 10. When you complain or report abuses you are deemed a combatant and even though after two months on this crazy job I put in a letter of resignation and offered to work a 2 week notice they found a reason to get rid of me on my last weekend so they could call me a disgruntled employee when I report them to the Department of Social Services. I was not alone in my assessment. I heard MANY similar complaints daily from other employees even those in management and clinical positions but since they were single parents or for other reasons desperately needed any work even to work in a hell hole of which I often heard it referred they continue to endure. On the plus side the residents are amazing people who bring joy and goodness to your life. I became very fond of them in a short time and am grieved to leave them especially in such a scary circumstance. But to watch them be mistreated daily and the management does little to nothing is a horror to the soul in which I cannot be party. BTW they will call me a disgruntled employee to discredit me however while this position requires a high school diploma I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology Human Services from Montreat College and letters of recommendation from my former employers as well as several local pastors. I am disgruntled but because of their mistreatment of human beings mostly those who cannot defend themselves like their residents.
