JESUS CHRIST truly blessed my son and my experience at Ranken Jordan The full staff at Ranken were friendly helpful and seemed to truly care about my sons health and recovery. He was there a little over 2 months and I can truly say that if we had to be away from home and at a hospital this place is certainly a place to heal and rehabilitate at. My son loved the food activities cooking classes and the outside baseball field. The staff that really stood out for us were Karen Allison Katie and Kelley but there are so many others that I could not began to type all of their names. Keep up the good work and may THE GOOD LORD continue to bless Ranken and the wonderful staff

Not A Good Place When Teens Are In Pain

I am so disappointed. I was led to believe that my kid would get the best care here post surgery. When she actually worked with therapists they were fantastic. I love the RNs PTs various therapists front people etc that interacted with her. Unfortunately performance goals of care coordinators doctors practitioners must not be aligned with patient care in mind. She did not leave at her starting base. She is walking in pain and not nearly as far as she was. I was told she wouldnt leave without having therapy set up. The care coordinator and nurse practitioner were satisfied with therapy scheduled middle of the day during school with us driving over 100 miles round trip per appt while on disability income and still having to take care of another child and a household. I requested a callback from care coordinator manager and I never received the call. I requested a therapy appt that they scheduled cancelled multiple times for two days and had to have an actual argument with the nurse and was told she would not cancel the appt they scheduled and do it myself. I canceled it during the discharge after learning they werent going to do it. They had lied about them setting her up for daytime therapy after I had said that would not work multiple times and had misled me multiple times on other facilities having openings all to push her out the door. I should have taken her straight home to begin with and she would not have lost her physical therapy spot at PS kids in the first place.

Ranken Jordan helped me as a kid so I recently made a donation to them online. I received a thank you letter in the mail which is fine but I noticed on their logo that they called themselves a home for crippled children. Crippled is an offensive and outdated term they need to change it to something that communicates and validates the fight these children put in towards their medical conditions. Its 2023 update your logo

Everything was pretty good here after my gal had an accident except for the fact that the staff is extremely rude and treats me poorly Id expect better than your therapists to be on such a strong power trip and that they should be treating everyone with respect.

We were sent to Ranken Jordans pain clinic after my daughters back surgery. She was there for five months and only saw Dr. Evra once for the initial consultation. The psychiatrist a required part of the pain clinic kept telling my daughter to work harder at getting her drivers license and getting back to work. My daughter had numbness and delayed reflexes in her right foot. Her PT said that it would be unsafe for her to drive. There was an obvious lack of communication within the team. The doctor that never saw her after the initial consultation released her after five months saying there was really nothing else they could do. We were assured that if her referring doctor thought she needed to come back that they would accept her back. A year later she was referred back and Dr. Evra refused to take her back as a patient saying she should just do at home PT disregarding that they said they would accept her back and that she had been in clinic physical therapy for over a year and half. The referring docor was looking for something more encompassing. Also RJ advertises that they treat Ehlers-Danlos at the clinic. They told us that they would recommend that we go to the Rehabilitaion Institute because they really werent very familiar with Ehlers-Danlos. They only get an okay because the PT that we dealt with was so amazing. Otherwise total failure in medical care.

I had to stay at Ranked Jordan a couple years ago and the staff and hospital grounds were amazing. The only thing I hated about being there is well being there but I was very lonely because my family or parents could not stay with me.
