Rachel Barnett, CCC-SLP
Introduction
My name is Rachel Barnett and I'm a play-based pediatric SLP. I have experience working with children ages 1-18. My expertise include early intervention, speech and sound disorders, autism, AAC, expressive/receptive language disorders, fluency, and TBI. I'm passionate about building strong connections with the children and families I work with while making therapy fun and meaningful. Others describe me as attentive, caring, patient, and organized. Some of my hobbies include reading, painting, ceramics, spending time outdoors (beach, lake, easy hikes), and spending time with family, friends, and animals.
What words would you use to describe yourself?
I chose these three words by thinking in the perspective of my family, friends, and from what families in the past have said to me. I love making my speech therapy sessions fun with everyone in the room laughing and having a great time. I am a very caring person, taking my time to build rapport with everyone I work with. I come from a big family and have found myself to be very patient.
