Introduction

Hi, I’m Rachael Jonik, a pediatric occupational therapist based in West Los Angeles. I work with children from birth through adolescence using a playful, strengths-focused, and family-centered approach. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children with a wide range of developmental, neurological, and medical needs, helping them grow, engage, and meet meaningful milestones. I’m passionate about empowering families and celebrating progress in all its forms. Outside of sessions, you can usually find me practicing yoga or pilates, reading, sipping matcha, or spending time with my husband and our two kitties!

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Warm
Engaging
Knowledgeable
If I had to choose just three words to describe myself, I’d pick warm, engaging, and knowledgeable. Families often tell me that they feel comfortable and supported from the moment we begin working together, which means so much to me. I strive to bring genuine connection, curiosity, and compassion into every session. At the same time, I value staying informed and continuing to learn so I can offer evidence-based, thoughtful, and individualized care. These three qualities guide both my clinical work and the way I show up for the children and families I support.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I’m best positioned to support children from birth to 18 who benefit from a playful, strengths-focused, and family-centered approach. My background includes working with kids who have a wide range of developmental, neurological, and medical needs, and I love helping them build confidence in the activities that matter most to them. I also enjoy partnering closely with families to make progress feel meaningful and achievable. While I can support regulation within daily tasks, I’m not as well-positioned for services that focus primarily on social skills groups or behavior-specific intervention.
