DO NOT GO FOR WORKMANS COMP INJURY. they did zero work stimulation to help me get back to working status. larger companies keep buying this place out and with that funds are cut taking away the possibility of aqua therapy ETC. i could write an essay on why its a lacking program with no realistic structure. Men on power trips unprepared transitions of employees leaving. my least favorite was when they told me my sciatica from a herniated disc was actually just fake pain my brain was producing two years after my untreated injury. it felt like very underfunded PUBLIC SCHOOL the pain program was engulfed by the brain injury program. please take my word do not go here for chronic pain.

I had been going to PRA from mid May to Mid July for the Pain Program. Everyone is so nice. They educated me on the mental and physical elements of pain. They also discuss what options would suit you and leave it up to you. There were also fun things to do like art cooking gardening etc. In the end my pain has greatly reduced and I can do so much more than I could have ever thought possible. I loved my time there and I miss the guys and gals who worked with me. To them I say a heartfelt and grateful thanks.

Im currently treated and have been treated for over a year at PRA. Their level of patience and listening is spot on especially for a patient with many needs. AJ whom wears many hats has not only been a pleasure to work with but she has made a lot of things simpler for me again her level of knowledge listening and patience is a great help and lets me focus on my treatments.

I was the victim of an assault that resulted in an 8 kitchen knife imbedded in my skull touching my brain. The workers comp folks at Kaiser sent me to PRA. I spent 8 weeks learning how to deal with my traumatic brain injury. The staff is knowledgeable and incredibly supportive. The other patients are great sources of support as well. There is no way I would have recovered the way I have if I hadnt been able to go to PRA.

PRA was the best thing that could have happened to me after my brain injury. The therapy was rigorous but the staff was always there for support and encouragement. It is easy to become both complacent and depressed after such a thing but the overall experience was so positve. My first recommendation is to avoid a brain injury. but if such a thing occurs I highly recommend Progressive Rehabilitation Associated.

Im so grateful for everyone at PRA. I felt valued and safe in their care and with their help I was able to move forward in my recovery from a traumatic brain injury. The staff are very knowledgeable and empathetic they saw me on my worst days and helped me continue to move forward. I will always be very grateful for my time spend here.

Professional thorough and compassionate care. Excellent team of therapists helped me rehab from a bike crash in ways that were creative effective and so helpful in transitioning back into everyday living. Highly recommend

I was there Approx in 1999 And the people there acted like they cared but was really a lie I had fallen on my stilts on a construction site and basically tore up my whole left side I had just had left surgery and was sent to PRA for the 3 weeks they acted like they were on my side and as soon as I left they told LI I could go back to work full time and there was nothing wrong with me and I was Faking Thank god I had another Doctor who believed my complaints of pain After PRA I had 2 more knee 2 shoulder 1 wrist 1 ankle and 1 elbow surgeries all from the same Accident that they claimed I was Faking from DO NOT TRUST THEM if you are on LI Back Stabbers

I switched insurance which has taken a lot of time and caused a lack of care for months specifically to get a referral for PRA. Today I was told by a PRA care coordinator that theyd had a referral from my old insurance since December 9th When I had talked with three people in PRAs care coordination after Dec 9th and while I was still on my old insurance none of them told me I had already been referred and they had received the referral and all I needed to do was have my PCP send chart notes They had told me about paying cash and which other insurance providers could provide referrals and for what. But they didnt think to tell me I already had a referral until I called today to ask about the new referral from my new insurance. I guess theyll post the same response as to all the other negative reviews below

I was lucky to be referred to PRA a few years ago after 3 failed back surgeries. The staff there is so compassionate and helpful definitely among the best Ive experienced. More importantly the alternative kinds of physical therapy they trained me in have been immeasurably helpful since I went through their program. I use things they taught me every day. They gave me tools to manage my pain and stay very active which is great since my pain isnt likely to ever go away. Prior to going there I was in constant pain and starting to get depressed about the surgeries having failed. Now Im happier and healthier and manage my pain far more effectively. Admittedly I was skeptical at first but am a true believer now that I have the training they offer. It is way different from many other physical therapy clinics Id been to in the past. Plus the things I saw them do for other very critical patients while there were nothing short of miraculous Id highly recommend PRA for anyone who is dealing with chronic pain in life and wants to reduce their dependence on medications and live a more active life.
