I waited since mid December 2022 to have a phone appointment for January 26 2023 with the director of Trust Services. I initially spoke with Melanie who was wonderful and gave me hope that someone could discuss various Special Needs Trusts with me. I forwarded my questions to the proper person prior to the phone appointment call so that they would be aware of the questions I had. Within the first few minutes of the appointment I was told I should speak with an attorney. I understood prior to making the appointment that I was not speaking with an attorney. In the world of Special Needs First Party Third Party Trusts and Able accounts there are so many varying scenarios that I felt like I needed to be clear with what I was asking. Immediately during the phone call I felt that I made a mistake in putting my questions in writing as a result I felt I received a very cut and dry corporate response and left the call feeling unheard.

Melanie and the team from PLAN NJ were beyond a helpful resource in assisting my client who suffers from mental and functional disabilities. I cannot express enough how helpful their knowledge and expertise were in navigating challenging planning matters. Their customer service is impeccable and cannot thank them enough for their assistance.

Plan NJ provided exceptional support to my late friend Michael who had somewhat complex needs relating to international considerations. Plan NJ staff were uniformly professional and -- more than that -- kind creative understanding and supportive. I strongly recommend them. Special needs trusts are complicated and they are experts.

I wouldnt personally recommand this firm. My adult special needs son has had his Is trust assigned to these people . I have to beg and wait 6 months for responses via email or telephone.I lost my home in hurricane Ida. We were displaced for 1 year. I asked for some help for a reliable vehicle That I alreadySaved up four thousand dollars towards. With great protest from me I was forced to sign my title over to this trust just for help with the insurance policy. After the government cut covid funds we were put into the streetsLittle help from FEMA.and it took one year for my trust coordinator. To even reach out after weekly phones calls.Once they reached out to They attempted to call Adult protective services on me for moving my son to Minnesota. Getting him out of the homeless shelter Of Newark new jersey. They have helped with buying him a bed. did contact them and a few nicknacks for his room.If anyone knows what I can do to to get my sons trust away from these people and to make sure that this doesnt happen to any other. A LOT of research went into finding the right special needs trust to allocate the funds from my mothers estate into and PLAN NJ not only turned out to be my best option but far exceeded my expectations as well I have found this to be an organization of refreshingly compassionate and especially diligent individuals and view their service as invaluable. They have accommodated my every request under Medicaid guidelines and gotten back to me with professionalism and a quick reply every time. I have recommended them to others in my situation and hope you benefit from my review and the research I put into finding them as well.

I have had the privilege to work with an amazing set of individuals at Plan NJ. They truly are compassionate committed and true advocates for their clients. I am a Nurse Care Manager and have worked along side these folks to help coordinate advocate and navigate care for a client. Nadine and Ellen are amazing in the way they support and Care. They are truly invested in the well being of their clients. In this case. they were guardian for the client and the way they provide attention support and Advocate in all the best ways on her behalf was so fantastic so heart warming. It has been a pleasure to watch them with the client treating her like family as well as to work with them. They are true professionals and have a goal to do the best they can to support their clients and I witnessed it first hand.

When it became clear that our son was on the autism spectrum diagnosed only in adulthood and that he would never be able to live a fully independent life my husband and I became his legal guardians. But because we are aging and have no close relatives nearby we knew we needed to put a plan in place for his future once we are gone. That is when we learned of Planned Lifetime Assistance of New Jersey PLANNJ. From our initial encounter with this organization it was clear how dedicated they all are to helping those in need. What we found was intelligence compassion deep knowledge of legal matters and much more. We have needed help with the Department of Developmental Disabilities hospitals housing all kinds of advice and support about all manner of things and in many areas. So many systems function poorly if at all. PLANNJ has never let us down.

PLANNJ is a godsend for my family. I am a widow with a multi-handicapped adult daughter still at home awaiting placement. My three sisters and their families live in KentuckyVirginia and Wisconsin the two people my husband and I hadselected to act as guardians for our daughter both backed outas they like us aged.I have peace of mind daily knowing the caring professionals at PLANNJ not only visit my daughter now to get to know her and her needs but will be there for her when Im gone and will manage our Trust on her behalf at that time.

I have been in communication with PLANNJ for over a year. Theyhave been giving me advice on a Special Needs Trust Fund which we are putting in place for my son.The person that I have been in contact with has spent a lot of time speaking with me on the phone and answering my emails. I feel thatmy family has made a sound decision in following through andcommitting to work with PLANNJ.
